My top five mods would be:

1: Sway Bars (front and rear)
- these are the absolutely best bang for buck mod, hands down
2: Lightweight Flywheel
- quick shifts, better acceleration
3: Cold Air Intake
- Intake noises make me smile
4: 17x8 rims
- for better look and wider tires
5: Upper Front Strut Bar
- quicker load transfer in the front and more road feel

My absolute #1 NC "mod" is keeping my drain tubes clean ...otherwise it fills up with water.  Best "real" mod was full suspension, wheels, tires... Progress springs, koni sports, RoadsterSport sways and links, rpf1s, Continental high performance all seasons (New Jersey), and EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, a good performance alignment.  NC transformed.

I ran my NC Miata as a daily driver for 10 years and 115K miles and had no problem with my expansion tank.

My best NC mods top five...    
1.) Coilovers  - ZetaCRDs
2.) Wheels - Flyin Miata Kogeki 17x8
3.) Adjustable Intermittent Wipers (I live in Seattle, we need this here) - great cheap mod!
4.) Android Auto head / Bosectomy
5.) Exhaust

My Miata Mod:  RED  Floormats.
That's it.
I get compliments all the time from passengers.  They think it's sporty.

I just found your channel and it’s awesome to see some NC content. I live in CO also. I used to race and run na’s and nb’s and last year my kids finally got old enough I could get back into having a fun car again. Are you planning on doing any track days?

If going with yellow Komi shocks get them from Goodwin Racing. They have two matching sets of springs depending on the year of your car. For the record you mention sway bars - they are actually anti-sway bars.

Love your channel! I had a ‘92 Miata that I bought in 1997. Changed out the shocks, springs, tires, wheels, and brakes. I was planning to paint it and start tackling engine mods when I sold it in 2003 because my wife and I had twins.

Now they are getting close to graduating from college and I’m tired of driving my Jeep for the last 12 years. So I’m looking at Miata’s again. And I think the NC’s are my favorite. I hope I don’t have to wait too long to enjoy Miata’s again!

Good , informative video thanks. I have a NC2 PRHT, Bilsteins, LSD, drive year round snows on daily driver. I have replaced the coolant tank with a Moroso, keep my eye on the glass gauge which is useless anyway, I have changed the wiper stalk (thanks) and replaced the horn with an air horn (much better) one you didn't mention. I'm waiting for the roof controller to become available again but that's next. I'd like to see a video on maintaining the PRHT and a video on driving skills, specifically in the Miata , heel toe cornering etc. Thanks again loved the drive and the discipline of the other drivers, good spacing no hot heads. People really need to stop being so overly sensitive about everything. Great video BTW! Gives me some ideas about what more I can do with my 2.5L NC.

My top 5 (in no particular order)
1. Coolant expansion tank, just buy a quality aluminum one and be done with it.
2. Koni sport shocks, lowering springs, front and rear sway bars. (I know this is technically more than 1 thing, but I count it all as one)
3. Continental DSW tires
4. MX5 Things roof controller. Should be mandatory for all PRHT owners
5. Foglights as DRL modification. If someone hits you because they don't see you, you're not going to be able to enjoy your Miata very well.
6. I also did the head unit as well as the Clearwater speakers, so a half Bosectomy.

just bought a new '23 GT in soul red (great deal), and just discovered your channel - and live in CO - thanks, Man!

Coolant tank for sure, which I did first, it’s cheap insurance. Koni coilovers, wheels and tires are ordered, waiting on shipping. Radio is next. Definitely agree and can’t wait to get mine done.

I had very little things done to my 2006 NC:
- Eibach lowering springs. The car (obviously) sits a bit lower and looks better for it. It made a great difference in drivability without sacrificing ride quality. But it comes with a big downside: for daily driving you really have to be much more careful navigating speedbumps. In hindsight I'd probably recommend spending a bit more to get proper coilovers, although the Eibach springs are still an improvement overall.
- Air intake from Skuzzle Motorsport. I can only just recommend it. In lower revs there's no real difference but from a certain rev point the engine seems to come alive with great intake noises, and I'd swear it makes the engine feel more peppy. If it actually became faster or not I don't know (and I don't really care) but it certainly feels that way, and that's why I'd recommend it.
- A cool looking chrome ball-shaped gearknob. I only replaced the gearknob because the original one looked a bit worn and I came across this cool looking chrome ball to replace it with, and it happened to go really nicely with all the chrome touches of my NC '3rd gen limited'.

That's just it. Still loving my NC and it's my daily driver.

When i had my NA.  
1.  Lightweight wheels and good tires.  Having more sidewall helps alot for enjoying the drive. I kept the stock 14" daisy and ran falken azenis. For an nc i wouldnt go to big  because it slows acceleration.  
2. Sway bars.   These first two, are awesome for any car.  
3. Shocks & extended top hats.  
Good shocks and sway bars allow you to have good ride on the street but fun.  
4.  4 point Rollbar.    
5.  Intake and light exhaust.  ( intake sound rocks)
