I have driven my MX5 NC2 every day for the past 7 years. I love it and I will never sell it. It's such a good driver's car.

03:19 We could listen to this sound all day

I've owned my NC2 PRHT GT manual for almost a decade, I absolutely love it.

Agree the best sports car isn't the fastest but the one that gives you the best experience. Have had my 2008 radiant ebony NC1 for about a year now, picked it up in super clean condition with under 70K kms on the clock. Have been modifying it trying to stay OEM+ nothing extreme, just ordered a factory hardtop. I do plan to keep this for decades:)

It's a gem where not many people, especially mx5 owners realise.

I had an NA for 18 years loved it. The NC is my favorite.

When the NC came out, there was a small number of Miata enthusiasts that were relentless in their criticism on message boards. The internet being what it is, those criticisms took hold. Still, Car & Driver Magazine named the NC in their top 10 cars eight times. That's not just sports cars, but all cars.

I have owned 8 Miatas since 2001….5 were NDs, my last ND being a ‘24 soul red crystal RF Club BBR. Stunning car! It was the best iteration of all my Miatas by quite a margin. That being said…my current Miata is a 2015 PRHT Club with an automatic….and I love it! At 74 it is all the car I need to still feel younger than my years. It’s turned into a hobby car as I am adding tasteful mods almost monthly to make it my own. Like ALL Miatas it puts a huge smile on my face every time I drive it. Great video! You hit so many great points about the red headed step child of the Miata world.

I just drove my 06' LE from Utah to Connecticut and back without a single issue. Love this car. Got as high as 33 mpg on the trip.

hey ! new NC owner here , I drove the car in the Netherlands , and went from Spain to get it .. I had been thinking for years now, and even though I bought one of the most expensive in Europe , I plan to fully enjoy it for a few years I hope. Mine was the last 2014 German Sendo edition with PRHT in a titanium flash mica , 40.000 milles! love it

I have an 06 limited. Original owner.  Unmodified.  Well over 100k miles with no unscheduled maintenance.  I absolutely love this car which was a replacement for my 95 Miata.  I doubt that I will ever sell it.

NC 2012 soft top
The absolute peak of the line.
I just installed a brand new audio/nav system with the latest CarPlay.
It brings the car into the modern era while remaining subtle and still driver focused.
Best of both worlds. This was the last generation of the Roadster before enshitification began to creep in. ND audio/nav systems cannot be updated because they are integrated. With an NC you can pop out the old Pioneer, and drop in what ever you wish.
Remember, that this was the last car that YOU own completely - the ND software is owned by Mazda.

I have a 2017 ND RF Sport Nav and absolutely love it. All of the MX-5/Miata range are timeless in their style and retain their value really well - there's not really any other car like them out there.

The retractable hard top adds so much; cosiness, security and style. I love them

Owned the NC1 for 20 years. Just picked up an ND2 RF as its replacement. The RF is stunning and I love how the Skyactive revs and pairs w/ its manual transmission. However the MZR still felt like it had more low end torque. At the end of the day, I love the little extra drama of the ND but the NC is still my favorite as a daily partner.

I dad an NB 2000 SE and it was pretty good but when rust developed in the gas tank I took it to the dealer and discovered it was going to cost as much as much as it would be worth I decided to look at the new ones a bit.  I had always wished for a coupe version and hadn't noticed the one that came put in 2017.  They had about five new ones fresh off the truck in the lot and one all prepped and ready to drive.  I quickly took advantage of the offer and liked what I saw. I had driven an. NC when they came out and discovered they drooped the lightweight chassis with the NC and used bits from the heavier 4 seat RX-8 sedan model and didn't feel that it was a suitable substitute for the NB but they fixed that with the NB very well.  Much lighter still even though it was obviously  even more loaded with newer technology, they worked hard to lighten every component, replacing even more of the steel with Aluminim.   Hard to do that with the small production numbers anticipated very little shared with other units and that's a noticeable enhancement.  Even the new metal folding top is a significant improvement.  And, even though it's powered, it's not significantly heavier but it don't detract from the look as much as it does in the NC.   My only complaint is that the minimal space available wasn't used very efficiently compared to the original NA.  But,  it is a but hardcore compared to the others.  I don't track mine but if I was'nt getting a bit long in the tooth, I would probably be doing that, now that I've sold my personal plane,  the ND is a fuel sipper even when pushing it hard.   I've got A Turbocharged V6, S5 Cabriolet but the NB RF GT is my favorite ride of choice

I have two Miatas, a 2019 ND2 “Ruby” GT auto that I have had since new and has 205k miles and a 2012 NC2 PRHT “Pearly” six speed that I have had for a year. It had 84.8k miles when I got her and I now have 96k. I love my NC2 for the bigger space and when I want more driver engagement, her six speed is just what I am looking for.

2010 NC2 touring owner here; it's my daily driver and it puts a big smile on my face. Such a fun car and so affordable to maintain.

Um, yes under apriciated, I own a 2011 nc2, prht, mica black with stone leather bose etc. Love it. Now has a cobra rear box, bbr semi racing springs, and I love every drive. Often take it out for no other reason than to just drive. John in the UK. 🇬🇧

Only Miata I've ever driven was an NA about 20 years ago on a cool summer early morning in the Phoenix AZ area.  Once of the best drives of my life.  Only Mazda I've owned was a 2009 2.3s Mazda 3 hatch w/ a manual transmission.  Super fun car to drive.  Next Mazda I own will be a NC Miata.
