The cadence in which you modified so that you could take the time to enjoy each ‘milestone’ almost made me tear up 🥹
I felt that

I regret not getting a Miata sooner, but it’s never too late as I picked up my 2009 Grand Touring Miata shortly before turning 78. I’ve managed to install Tein coilovers, Roadster Sport mid pipe and muffler, Moroso coolant tank and AEM cold air intake by myself in the backyard (no concrete drive)! I’m looking forward to the MATG XXX!

I regret not getting the GWR clutch pedal extension sooner. Game changer for seating position.

I used to talk down on Miatas for many years. Then I got one, and realized what I had been missing. The regret is not getting my NC sooner as its super fun, and arguably the best handling car I've ever driven modded.

Great videography as always Jordan. Love Ghosty ❤

Can't wait for my hard top module to arrive! I had talked myself out of it for several years... finally bit the bullet and I know I'm gonna love it!

I regret buying an NC without an LSD and air conditioning.

Nice car, we have a 2022 GT, Soul Red, that we get tons of compliments on. These cars are so much fun to drive! Cheers

Great video! I’m a new NC owner and have considered all these things so the insight is valuable! Thanks

The Smart Top module was my favorite mod I ever did to my (unfortunately sold) 2014 NC3 Miata Club…even more than an aftermarket Carplay head unit. Man I hope the current owner agrees to sell it back to me one day.

Great video Jordan…Cheers

when i did a 2000 mile road trip over 14 days, I wore a sun shirt with sunscreen on my face mostly. I wore thin gloves to protect my hands. it worked quite well. earplugs also make it MUCH more bearable, as you could do the 70 mph speed limits top down + music without any fatigue.

I regret selling my first Miata, an NB1, in 2022, but I replaced it with an NC1 Miata within 1-1/2 years. That was almost three years ago, and all is well again.

I agree with you 100% on the shifter. I found just adding a different shifter knob and sat about an inch lower ( thread chamber longer ) really changed the feel and shortened the shifter feel. A lot easier and cheaper too.

You deserve an ND. I hope the MX5 gods make it happen for u. I have a ND3 and still I can fully relate to this video. Way better point of you then the guys complaining about brembo brakes and which coilovers are better.

Fully agree with the tires 😊.But there are cheapest tires like the Hankook Ventus Evo 1 S3 or S4

Nice list. And thanks for the input about the short shifter because I am happy with the stock shifter (with added metal bushing) but periodically I hear people recommend the short shifter and I reconsider it. Now it's off the list.

My regrets:

1. not replacing the steering wheel with the Cipher steering wheel sooner. The feel of the steering wheel is something you experience 100% of the time you drive the car, and the Cipher wheel made a huge improvement for me.

2. Not replacing the Bose in-dash unit with a media player sooner. I went with the Atoto A6PF and it is a night and day difference.

3. Not adding the turn signal lane change module sooner. I have the one made by Kahtec. This is something that makes everyday driving easier.

3:52 I drive with genuine 0% after I got played by the tint shop telling them the 5% they installed wasn't as dark as my previous tint 🤣 it's great just lots of wear on my windows 🤠

If anything I guess not buying an MX5 NC1 sooner…had mine coming up a year (Z Sport only approx 400 in the UK)…in that time it’s had MeisterR coil overs..braided lines..and a full restoration of the underside having been treated and protected by MX5 Restorer here in the UK. Also stainless steel rear subframe brackets. THE most fun I have had in a car. BBR GTi this week for their Super 200 install..can’t wait to see the improvement. Like I say should have got into an NC1 years ago…
