This is the kind of content that makes me say, "Well, this would have been good to know about 20 years ago!" Which doesn't mean it's not still helpful, by any means. Your section about the different initiation styles alone has the potential to be transformative.

As a man, I don't ever want my female partner to feel obligated or pressured, but at the same time I don't want to be the one constantly pursuing and getting rejected.   It sucks being the high libido partner, doing all these things to maintain emotional connection, trying to keep the pressure off, and never having the effort reciprocated....... its dehumanizing.   People with responsive desire often use that as an excuse to never initiate, or as a method to turn down sex if the conditions aren't just right.  The high libido partner is investing in the emotional connection and I think its only fair for the low libido partner to do their share of investing in the physical connection.

You know what? I love your content! It doesn't put partners agaist eachother but tries to find a path forward... path to more great sex! Unfortunate due to the algoritm it might not get the views it deserves on youtube, but Hannah please keep creating these videos!

Im such a self help junkie and I'm shocked this concept has never crossed my feed before. Ive heard bits and pieces of this, but never has it been presented in such a practical and complete way. Thank you for making this! I feel so much more equipped to navigate intimacy now.

This was eye opening. I imagine it works a lot like the love languages, meaning there is an order of importance for all of these. There's a primary way they get turned on, but all the styles would also have their place depending on the circumstances.

Thankyou for creating content like this that promotes communication between couples about intimacy. And that it doesn't always have to be about sex. It is about wanting to be close to your partner, and feeling safe with them. Both ways.

This is the first time I’ve heard this approach. I’m impressed. It’s difficult for anyone to be against this kinder, more compassionate approach.

I just found this page while doing my studies/reflecting. Two hours later you post the exact topic I was seeking. Thanks! Much love

We just had a talk about the needs and wants.. went better than expected

I’m a male that requires to be warmed up like a female in this fashion. I think the understanding is most guys are just up and ready to go all the time. Not me.

long repeated rejection made me so open to initiation from a friendly admirer.
Tragedy ensued

Absolutely love your podcast!

amazing video. really helps put into context the type of communication and openness you should try to have with your partner.

such a helpful video!

Thank you! ❤❤❤❤❤

You're gorgeous ❤❤❤ your hair! Xxx

Thank you, Hannah,  very clear and helpful!

My wife and I appreciate your 6 approach styles. We fully agree, but note that it's a revolving door... not so much which style is ours as which predominates at the present moment.

That led to the amusing notion that it's kind of like a decoder ring (or Rubik's Cube!) aligning the two presently dominating styles to establish the connection spectrum of the moment. A game couples can play together for win-win. Maybe it could be developed as 'merch'?  😆😘

Also loved your phrase, "Communcition is lubrication". It's what lets us find how best to align.

Thanks again for sharing.

Yes.

Hey I just discovered your channel and its amazing! The videos are well done, insightful and not just clickbait!
Just wondering, when you went through the initiation styles I would say my wife would say 5 out of these 6 apply to her.. is it normal to have multiple styles, perhaps based on current mood / stress level etc?
Tbh it can also feel like a lot of things to get right 😂

Wow, this is a whole class on initiation, a lot to take in. I wish it was simpler. Do you have examples?
