John Paul Jones: "I have Marines and I'm not afraid to use them!"

Boomy, the village of Kirkbean in Scotland has a museum honoring John Paul Jones. The town of Whitehaven, the one he raided and whose cannons he spiked? pardoned him in 1999.

Currently the U.S. Navy has a ship named in his honor and it’s motto is “I Have Not Begun To Fight”

That's the beauty of America. We proved that you don't have to be from an important bloodline to be an important person. That's something that a lot of Europe still doesn't want it's citizens to know.

In 1999 the Port Town of Whitehaven gave John Paul Jones a ceremonial posthumous pardon for the raid on Whitehaven.

Building a society around a "noble class" breeds contempt. This is exactly why titles of nobility are barred in the U.S. Constitution.

Letters of Marqe had been used for a very long time by England, France and Spain. The pirates that operated under these Letters were referred to as privateers.

"He fought rain and he fought in the sun and he fought in the moonlight too.

He fought with his knife and he fought with his gun and he fought till his blood ran blue.

John Paul Jones was a fighting man, a fight man was he.

He sailed to the east, and he sailed to the west, and help set America free."

Scotland still had memories of Culloden so he might have found friends.

If I ever become a pirate, I'll have to remember the silver plate.

I like how Boomy has an even Britisher accent she can go into :D
It reminds me of Scott Thompson from Kids in the Hall talking about how weird it was that he would go into a different speech pattern when playing a gay character despite being gay and never actually talking like that.
