When my Moff got assassinated by rebels, he left me in charge of a couple thousand conscripts, 200 stormtroopers, a few Gozantis, and a pair of Carrracks. We definitely used the "it's much bigger than it looks" trick a few times, until we could find a good neutral port. Tried the same trick on a few lady friends, but they were less amenable to my docking attempts. I eventually sold one of the Carracks, gave the other to the Stormtroopers who wanted to find someone up for a fight. I cleverly used our new funds to buy everyone some civilian clothes and a coat of paint for the Gozantis, and we all went on our way. Got every one of my boys home, which i count as a victory.

Hands down, the Gladiator. Classic ship indeed.

"What do you mean they have a Death Star 3...?"

Empire falls and I'm a Imp captain, i'm taking my crew to the nearest "Pleasure Planet", selling the ship, and we are gonna go on a massive rager. Warlording is too much a hassle.

An Interdictor and a couple Arquitens would be fantastic as the core of a raiding fleet, I think. A Gladiator would be great to have too. Just upgrade the hyperspace modules for top speed, and have a couple predetermined jump points. And some friendly/neutral anchorpoints.

I'd probably go for a Raider II with a small, loyal, not very ideologically-driven crew and just kind of try to stay out of the galaxy's way until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom Treaty at which point I'd join the Imperial Remnant under Grand Admiral Pellaeon (legends continuity).

If we're just strictly talking about which ship on the list I like the most, it's the Gladiator; though I really dig RFC's model of the Carrack.

Especially for cargo capacity, I'd probably angle for a Acclamator.  Enough room to be a carrier, tough enough to survive, and a lot were relegated to distant outposts so they should be more available post endor than an isd.

TIE Interceptors or Avengers would fit perfectly in the Raider corvette.

interdictor class star destroyer is also a perfect ship for imperial warlords in my opinion. no pirate and smugglers are going to escape while I am around. As for the rebel and republic ships . . . if they are not important like force users or famous people, I am going after them.

The Carrack cruiser is clearly modeled on a 1980's television remote.

Love the Corvis version/refit of the Raider-II.

Ĺove the Arquitens, looks like a giant lawn-dart. Also love the fact that Boba Fett jacked an I.S.D. BY HIMSELF!!

“The windows on the bridge would be taller than a human” somehow always gives me a giggle.  Oversized windows are easily explained. It’s the undersized windows that don’t make tactical sense.

I’d say Victory-class… they were already relegated to secondary theaters of operations and are quite powerful without needing the extreme crew numbers of the Imperial-class

Be still my heart! Best Valentine’s Day ever!

I am currently writing a story now where the main character leaves the Imperials, and his first capital ship is a Raiders-class Corvette after the Raider is a Dreadnought heavy cruiser. Then an ISD. thanks for the list.

I always thought it would be a particularly lethal small fleet to have a few Carrack cruisers suplimented with some Lancer-class frigates and something more dangerous and versatile than basic TIEs on those racks, like XG-1s. Each Carrack could carry a pair of assault gunboats loaded with proton torpedoes for larger targets, and a pair loaded with concussion missiles for starfighter or light freighter interception, and be escorted by a Lancer for starfighter defense. The Carrack itself can punch up against larger starships pretty well, and half a dozen could start to take on something as big as a Venator without much difficulty. 6 Carracks and 6 Lancers supported by XG-1s (and maybe some blastboats for recon and patrol) could easily secure an entire star system or two against everything short of an ISD or one of the bigger Mon Cal ships. Even sending a single ISD or equivalent into that should give that ship's captain pause. That fleet might not win against an ISD, but they could do enough damage to make the fight not worth it for the larger ship.

I look forward to these every Saturday!

I don't know how I didn't realize until now, but the Eye of Sion... That thing should be considered a superweapon of it's own. That thing would have been an absolute nightmare the rebels would have lost many nights of, dreading over the gigantic phantom that could tear a hole in the fabric of space, popping up literally anywhere. Rebels doing hit and run guerilla warfare? That's very cute, but the only thing they can do now is hide, and it numbers their days, with no way to run the monster. An ISD or similar imp capital ship in size, able to be hot dropped live wherever it's needed most, with another appearing shortly after to compliment it when that giant ring disappears faster than the mind can comprehend. All the small rebel ships inside it's circumference being thrown around like children's toys is icing on the cake. The imps could just have stakeouts and set up ISD traps laden with minefields in addition to absolutely crush any rebel drop. Good luck genuinely trying to stop that thing from doing whatever it darn well pleases, ferrying ISDs to and fro, which is cycling resources on top of that.

Since the empire has such a strong affinity for ISD's, if they had this thing early on in the war, i'm pretty sure there wouldn't have been one to consider, let alone begin with. At least the ring has some turbolasers and a shuttle to help make the choice for the rebels to negotiate terms of surrender much easier.

Add on a sizable amount of interdictors, plenty of cantwell and arquitens/546 cruisers, a plethora of raider class corvettes and tie defenders, and maybe even some quasars to carry more defenders, and I think you have one of the greatest galactic navies in all of sci-fiction.

Solo Warlord for me. I'd probably hedge my bet, ruling my territory as benevolently as possible. More like a protector of the people's interests than a dictator. If the Empire returns to strength I could present a region that is doing well to be reintegrated into the larger Empire. If the New Republic comes a knocking, I can say "Finally you are here, here are my ships to be taken into your fleet. Do you need me, or can I retire?"
And if no one comes I'll set up something so I can live out my life in peace.
