There are many iconic romances across comic books and Hal Jordan Green Lantern with Black Canary is not one of them. Just why is Hal stealing a kiss?? We discuss a classic bronze age tale from DC Comics and The Justice League vs The Society of Super Villains. It's an entry from the Gerry Conway era and it's pretty wild. “Why would Hal Jordan do this?”

Honestly, why does Hal do anything?

@abiodunsulaiman2297 1 year ago

Of course Hal’s charmed didn’t work on Diana, Green Lantern’s can’t affect anything yellow, and Black Canary is a blonde lol

Even when Hal didn't do anything, he's catching strays.

WHY WOULD HAL JORDAN DO THIS? WHY? Oh yeah, because he's a mess.

Hal just wasn't the same after that slip in the shower.

Must I remind everyone? Hal does not want us to remember this. He wants to be remembered for the planes that he flew.

Why would Hal "Hot Mess" Jordan do this?! It just makes it hard for him to be remembered for the planes he flew. 😂

I choose to believe that Professor Zoom thinks Ollie, Hal, and Dinah are in a secret throuple because of miscommunication and thats why he did this kiss moment.

But I may have just read too many of those isekai drama stories 😅

It was not Hal, it was Parallax! It is always Parallax!

Now, if Green Lantern had stumbled and fell into Black Canary's arms ... would that have instead provided proof Ollie was wrong?

To think, this kooky little adventure will serve as a catalyst for one of the darkest times for the Justice League. Arguably their darkest Crisis.

Gonna need the GL playlist to be named "Why would Hal Jordan do this!?"

The biggest tip-off that it wasn't really Hal? He didn't slip and fall on a museum pamphlet.

Let’s go! Hal I don’t know what will is Jordan!

I'm also surprised Hal and Dinah weren't a thing. It just seems like it would've happened at some point in several decades of storytelling.

"Why would Hal Jordan do this?"
I mean, have you SEEN Black Canary?

So funny enough, at the tail end of the West Coast Avengers comic, USAgent made a pass at Mockingbird specifically because he got off on how mad it would make Hawkeye,
