YOU ARE THE SWEETEST! Thank you SO MUCH for the shout out. We need to do a collab! ❤❤❤

"She never shrinks!"

.....same 😅

I must say that many people avoid using up scraps, but I actually kind of love it.  I came home with a whole tub of scraps and yardage of someone else's stash and projects.  My husband dumped the entire lot into the wash, and I later saw it as a mess of tangled scraps and strings.  He did come and help me untangle the mess and hang it all up on our 3 clothes lines.  All dried now, Sorting and ironing and trimming to come soon.  The pieces that feel to be poly blends are going to be used for the foundation pieces, but some of them are just too nice to hide away. We have lost so many people in the last few years with Covid and the resulting isolating, but I have been so lucky to rescue some of the stashes like this one and turn them into quilts.  Among the scraps, were probably over 20 yards of rolled and folded yardage. Everyone should ask and look for these lots. So sad to dump all these collections into landfills.

I would like to say just how much I appreciate that you show the finished product for a longer period of time and in great detail. Thank you so much for all that you do.

This quilt has a "generational" feel....it reminds me of our favorite family quilts

You had me at, "Oh, I sewed two together!"

It definitely sounds like something that would happen in my seeing studio! I can't wait to make my scrappy quilt after watching the process you utilize!

It was fun to watch your process, listen to you speak, and watch the process come together. Thank you for the inspiration! I can't wait to get started! Happy sewing everyone! 💚

You are a light in the quilting world🏆

You are such fun to watch!  Am I the only one who keeps replaying the few seconds starting about 1:10 where you show your ruler, then just toss it aside?  So funny!

I love your solution doing the stair steps for the sashing! Looks fantastic!!

I love the combo of blue sashing and black sashing! I never would have thought to do that on my own…thank you!👍🏻💖👵🏻

The ties in the sashing is a great idea!

You are great. You dont vib with any rules. Thats what makes you so wonderful and talented. Love your quilts

The blue and black stashing is perfect.😊

Great quilt! Love the tie pattern!

ok so I have an idea for you!!  Thrift stores are a great place to get fabric!  Not only is it less expensive but the planet is happier.  AND sheets and shower curtains (yes, there are gorgeous 100% cotton shower curtains with wonderful designs/colors) that are made of really good quality cotton. Over the years I have bought a lot of fabric (mostly clearance bin at joann) but most of my work is from second hand fabric. It is great!  BTW, I love most the GEE's BEND quilters so I am not a fussy 'make the points match' kind of quilter...!
Really enjoy watching your process.  - usa

Thank you for your energy and expertise!  You have inspired me to get back into quilting after a really rough couple of years. You came along at just the right time. Keep Davitizing quilts, love your work!

Ew, David! I love this quilt and your method. My favorite aspect might be the stairstep sashing!

Crumb quilting is my favorite.   I have tons of tiny little pieces.    Really fun and beautiful

Like your idea of using fabric for foundation. Love the craziness of the quilt.

The BEST MUSIC for a quilting video….continued growth and prosperity….I gotta check your music playlist, it’s always 🔥🔥🔥. No matter the genres of music, it accompanies your work well❤️
