loved ur "HUH???" at "there's a family standing in our driveway" truly the only appropriate response

What I like about the movie is that until the end, we think the tethered are irredeemable monsters. But if they all had had the chance to leave the underground, they would have ended up being perfectly normal human beings, making their condition all the more unfair. Addy left, and she was able to have a normal life and raise a normal family.

Lupita acted her butt off in this film. The sister should've received her second Oscar nomination.

Jordan Peele has a definite gift for putting "creepy" on film. It's not just a setting. It's not just an atmosphere. It's not just a series of images, played really quickly. It's building everything together until the weight of it is palpable.

We appreciate the stress you went through to give us this great reaction 😂

@SIMMIS_0316 1 year ago

one thing I find really interesting is how the son and the son's tether seem tethered together more that just one being tethered to the other.

@yogawithminelli 1 year ago

the first straight-faced “Jesus is lord” had me cryingggg 😂😂

@kykywox 1 year ago

The whole tethered concept is kinda convoluted and the more you think about the actual logistic of them surviving down there and mimicking everything, the more it falls apart BUT regardless I like that movie a lot. Jordan Peel's an extremely creative and talented director.
10/10 reaction as always btw, ty for braving your fears for us <3

In the beginning it’s mid 80s

my favourite Jordan Peele is definitely Nope, but I really appreciate this one for having the balls to be so weird lol

Lupita was truly fuckin incredible in this film. Both maternal and hard, welcoming and terrifying. It put her on my radar for sure.

As a seasoned horror fan (books and movies) this movie creeped the crap out of me!!! Didnt leave me for AGES! Thank you for putting yourself through it!🙌

Ophelia the siri knock off - explains it a bit - In Hamlet, Ophelia does not explicitly seek revenge, but rather becomes a victim of the play's revenge plot and the actions of others, ultimately leading to her madness and death. thats lupita.

I'm so glad you didn't quit. This is SUCH a great film! I particularly love the dance/fight scene to an orchestral version of "I got 5 On It. " I've mentioned it a few times and will continue to hope that now that you're down the horror rabbit hole, you'll give Poltergeist a go! It's Steven Spielberg if that helps sell it to you, and the film trilogy has a dark an interesting story around it and what happened to some of the cast and crew.
