"Bi but with a preference for money and maybe women"
Ah yes, the best sexuality
Go Netherlands

There is no heterosexual way to explain bulgaria’s “friendship” with romania

I’m laughing because my headcanon for Australia is bi but his sibling energy is so strong he never gets laid because people keep adopting him as a brother

i think seeing the hetalia characters as bi until proven otherwise is just the best way to view the hetalia characters.

"Estonia has big 'I like women but I can't get any' energy." Is that why Himaruya based his appearance off him?

I headcanon America as Ace (But bi romantic and very sexpositive) because it seems like if he was given the choice between an attractive woman, an attractive man, an attractive non-binary, and a good cheeseburger he'd choose the cheeseburger 100% of the time, even if he'd just eaten. That seems ace as heck to me. In my eyes, he probably sees romance and women in bikini's as something cool more than something that he's actually physically attracted to. (Although I will admit I'm bias because I'm Ace and he's my favorite character)

this comment section is hilarious out of context 😭

I feel like America and Italy would be different.
Italy has a lot of hetero moments. There's this whole scene in the manga where Germany pokes fun at Italy for how Italy likely would have paid for Germany and Japan's meals, if they were women. From the moment the series started, Italy would act like this sniveling coward around men to get out of trouble but then turn around and start flirting with all of the women. While he does show interest in men, I think he has a really strong and obvious preference for women. It is likely why Germany is so perplexed by his behavior.
America I see as bi but with a preference for men. There are women in his advertisements and such, but that's marketing. The time's we see him around women, they are approaching him. Not the other way around. The times we do see him being kind of flirty is with other men, specifically Lithuania and Japan. Like seriously, what adult american man would ask another man to bathe with him in a tiny bathtub? They wouldn't. That's some gay energy.

i swear, there's nothing hetero about Philippines 😭

The way I cosplay France is as a Panromantic Bisexual with strong gay leanings. He will be happy with any lover, no matter how they identify, and any lover will be happy with him, but we can't ignore that he never leaves England alone!

Personally, Germany gives me strong "Gay but in denial" vibes (I mean the whole Buon san Valentino Episode speaks for itself). He has an obvious crush on Italy, but he doesn´t want to admit it. For Italy, I´d say he leans more towards pansexual, but that´s just my guessing. I haven´t rewatched the series in a long time, so I forgot if there are any scenes, where it shows that Italy also has feelings for Germany (I mean, yes, Holy Rome obviously, but specifically Germany). If any of you guys remember, let me know.

honestly i think hima retconned germanys sexuality to just gay (the anime version of the christmas gift he gets from finland has rainbow lettering while in the original version there were women on the cover )

ever since i re-entered the fandom after 3-4 years of not really interacting with anything hetalia related youve become one of my favorite youtubers! im so hyperfixated on hetalia rn and your videos really help me consume hetalia related media in a way that isnt reading or watching it

i think prussia could be a closeted bi due to his time as the tuetonic knights, religion and all that fun repression, but considering his reaction to Hungary's chesticles and him looking at Americas porn its definitely more female leaning

As a Bi person, Hetalia is the bi rep my 11 year old self needed

Russia is very childish. He’s looking for companionship and belonging. Yes, he wants to be loved, but not necessarily in a sexual or romantic way. I think he’d be oblivious and unaware of such things. Keep in mind he’s very lonely and probably could use a lot of emotional support.

So we just gon ignore that in the Nyotalia episode, Estonia was freaking out and expressing being severely uncomfortable with all the women giving him attention? Oh we are just ignoring that? Alriight

Just from the picture, Russia is Ace!!  Called it!

as an east asian (south korean) am i the only one who hcs china as transfem bc that’s why she acts so motherly to younger people….  i mean when i was starting the show she reminded me so much of my grandma i always called china a “she/her” if i wasn’t thinking.

south korea def gives straight vibes to me, seeing how he acts even though the stereotype is really off..

The only confirmed queer character I know of is Sweden/Finland. Sweden is canonically gay confirmed by Himaruya. But Finland was married to Russia and was the top (canon).
So I’d speculate that Finland is also homosexual. So far my only confirmed queer characters.
