Tyler writes all the lyrics, music, guitar, bass, piano, ukulele and produces. Josh is the anchor on drums and sometimes trumpet. Duo from Columbus Ohio. Lane Boy please!✌️😊

I would say it's a genre of it's own origin. Once in a  lifetime talent, these guys

About band : Tyler and Josh.
Josh - drums. Tyler - singing, songwriting, beats, instruments (base, ukulele, piano…), producing (by himself, no label into their music)
Keep going with this guys

Idk if youre into lore or not but it gets deep with this duo I'll explain it all the deeper you get into it, next should definitely be Ode To Sleep - twentyonepilots

"OH YOURE THE DRUMMERRRR" i loved that

x2 for Ode to sleep next ! It's a mini doc/music video

Ode to sleep

Twenty One Pilots, or TØP for short, was started by Tyler Joseph with 2 of his friends in Columbus Ohio. They released one album, which was self titled, in 2009 before the other 2 left because of family and other personal reasons. Tyler and Josh Dun had met at a venue after being introduced to each other by one of the original members of the band, and they quickly connected and became best friends, and Josh was the first one Tyler asked to fill the spots left by the other two members. It's been just the two of them ever since.

Their first album together, Regional at Best, released in 2011, is not available anywhere except YouTube, as after it was released they signed with the record label Fueled By Ramen and redid about half the songs from that album for their next one Vessel, which was released in 2013. This is when they first started to gain some real traction outside of Ohio. The album focuses a lot on themes of mental health, suicide, depression, death, and how day and night can affect our moods. It's my favorite album of all time, with Migraine being my favorite song ever.

In 2015 came the big blowup in popularity with their album Blurryface. Stressed Out reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won them a Grammy, and Ride hit #5. They went on 2 worldwide tours for this album. Blurryface is a character Tyler created to represent all of his depression, insecurities, anxieties, etc. and each song deals with some of those things. Their big tour ended in 2016 and the guys went on a very long hiatus, with no social media presence, no new music, etc.

Before the hiatus they were asked by DC to make a song for the Suicide Squad movie, and they came up with Heathens, which is Tyler kind of roasting his fans, who were pretty toxic at the time. It fits right along with the Suicide Squad movie though. Tyler said that he submitted this and if the studio didn't like it then they would have just put this on their next album. This hit number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 I believe and I think they were nominated for a Grammy for it.

In 2018 they released their album Trench. It's a concept album about a place called Trench with a city called Dema, where bishops control the people and make them feel depressed. The album is about trying to escape Dema, which is a metaphor for beating our own thoughts. It continues the story of Blurryface as well.

The guys also released 2 singles in 2020 not connected to any albums: Level of Concern, a song about the state of the world and quarantine, and Christmas Saves the Year, which is exactly what it sounds like.

They just released their 6th album, Scaled and Icy, which is both short for "scaled back and isolated", referring to the quarantine setting in which they wrote it, and an anagram for "Clancy is dead", Clancy being a character they established in the Trench era.

None of their songs sound even remotely the same. I believe Tyler is one of the greatest lyricists and songwriters of all time, what he can do with words is amazing.

ISLE OF FLIGHTLESS BIRDS!

I would have suggested Migraine too. 3 songs in one, essentially

The other guy is josh Dunn the drummer the singer is tyler joseph they make up the whole group

hey, TOP Fan here :) Iam 19, from Germany. i was pretty fucked up in 2020, i was cutting, had a suicidal attempt, took drugs and so on. I discovered  TOP and i truly believe that i wouldnt be fckg here anymore if i didnt found theam.
Like the creativity, the express and the meaning of ALL their songs.. theres no bad one. and the Fandom is so lovely. The skills they have are unique! u need to hear some old songs, or neon gravestones, redecorate... FUCK IT! hear all of them! i cant express how much I love these 2 guys ..they saved my fckn life and i will hear the music in loop till death. iam never tired of it. bc every song is unique. Reason why this is (almost) the one and only band. no one can put in a genre.
Or go watch their MTV unplugged session.. they never settle at one pint, they keep fckg going. they redo their songs... i could write hours and hours straight why TOP ist THE BAND forever:D
Hope you will do much more reactions, the clique(Fandom) will support u to the max!!!

It is sooooo much to try to take in at once.

Oh and Tear in my Heart is a love song about Tyler’s wife, Jenna.

"Ode to Sleep", "Chlorine", "Lane Boy"

*** THE HYPE (BERLIN - LOCATIONS SESSIONS) and CUT MY LIP (SESSIONS - RECONSTRUCTED) *** You’ll lose your mind at the beats and the vibe, the dude is one of the sickest producers on top of singer/songwriter/musicians I’ve ever seen. It those 2 videos, you can physically watch him produce the track as he performs it. It’s nasty. And he’s got BARS for fucking days.

He’s one in a million talented. One in a BILLION. And he’s got the voice of an angel. His music is always deep, poetical, and has purpose. Go all the way down the rabbit hole, you won’t regret it.

Tyler Joseph (lead singer) and Josh Dunn (drummer). They’re a duo, and they write all their own music.

we OGs need to hear him listen to taxi cab, that song is the best thing i have ever heard

Heavy Dirty Soul for sure. Also check out Fall Away with Dr Blum; they are beyond fire live, like forest fire.

He has put into words what I have been been feeling for years. This is why TOP is so amazing!

If you want to hear Tyler spit bars, check out Heavydirtysoul (from the album Blurryface) or Levitate (from the Album Trench)
