this video took forever to make, hope you guys liked it!

also, I'm not sure if you noticed but I barely used any captions in this video. I only used them in absolutely necessary parts where you cant hear the person speaking clearly, so if your reading this lmk your thoughts on this change

creepiest / most unsettling intro yet in my opinion

50:04 the music playing is probably the five pm jingle. In Japan every day on five pm there is playing a jingle to test the warning systems. What music is playing depends on the prefecture or city

Very ironic that a Dutch themed park is sinking into the ocean

20:52 as someone who worked on a ship, the rainbow effect is most likely oil from the engine or from inside the boat.

16:18 , That little bunny is Nijntje (Know in english as Miffy) and was created by Dick Bruna, apparently the Nijntje characters got really popular outside of the netherlands and especially in japan so it having a place in the park does not surprise me

32:55 , The character here is another one of his creations

Man, if this was in the actual West everything would be vandalized so bad.

24:34 That is Loekie de leeuw! (loekie the lion) he is a iconic lion that was used by the NPO (nederlandse publieke omroep) during the time that this park was open (90's), they then retired loekie and brought him back in the 2010's / 2020's.

(edit 1:) as user @lucylime pointed out, at 16:18, the bunny is called "nijntje" (called miffy in english), created by dick bruna and got popular outside of the netherlands.

I'm sitting in the Netherlands, watching some Americans in Japan exploring a theme park designed around Dutch culture and architecture. What a world we live in today. Actually incredible.

24:33 the statue is called “Loekie de leeuw” and it was in between a tv program and the commercials on the tv broadcast of the Dutch government.

@CaptainMug 3 months ago

The fallen down "rotting" mascot @24:30 is Loekie de leeuw. Basically a Mascot of the Dutch national Television. (also depicted above the "Billy bob & Joe" building @13:05
