It's a Wii exclusive, so nowhere to link this one. I'm not sure if that's for the best or not.
Happy Halloween!

In his defense, “holy SHIT, look at that!” Is probably the most reasonable response to seeing a fire tornado

I actually really like the final villain of a disaster game being an extremist thrill seeker. Like it's the perfect opposite of the protagonist.

1:13:25 I can't get over how it not only LOOKS like a Metal Gear, being designed to transport/protect nuclear weapons means it LITERALLY IS ONE.

Colonel: "I DO THIS FOR MY MEN!"
Surge Men: "I'm doing this to get paid!"
Major Evans: "I FUCKING LOVE NATURAL DISASTERS!"

1:03:05 I like to imagine that this game and Cabela's Dangerous Hunts share same universe and SURGE was training not "anti-government guerrillas" but "anti-government gorrilas"

This actually pairs really nicely with the Callisto Protocol DLC in that we're going directly from "this game is so fucking stupid I can't handle it (despair)" to "this game is so fucking stupid I can't handle it (excitement)"

This is in the Cabela's verse. We finally understand why the animals are so strong and cunning, because nature is actually an antagonistic entity.

Hold up, are you telling me all those apocalyptic natural disasters happening, one after the other, was a just coincidence? It wasn't the bad guys somehow creating them?

I like how the President slams his hand on his desk and yells "Somebody do something!" it makes it seem like this game is the President's personal hell where he is stuck in that room for eternity and is repeatedly told of tragedies he is powerless to stop

Reggie was wrong to block this localization. Kids all over america would 100% play this and define their entire personality around it for a minimum of 20 years

I love how the start of this game’s conflict is “ray, they kidnapped a seismologist. We need your help: you are aware of what an earthquake is.”

When he said "Look over there, Colonel" I really hoped it was just a childish attempt at a distraction, and I REALLY hoped it was gonna work

This game truly is the definition of “soul.”

It’s sincere, the vision is so pure that it overrides the silliness and insanity.

Based on how so many of the Surge members die I have to assume that the Colonel had a Final Destination premonition that allowed those ones to escape and now Death is hunting them. I mean "car flies out of a building and crushes a guy" is one thing but "five seconds later another car flies out of the same building, bounces off another building and crushes the guy next to him" is some supernatural shit.

Can't believe that after the Mayor rebuilt the city he became a park ranger in Alaska and tragically died in a bear attack while hunting with his two sons.

1:20:49 the president's face is killing me. "If you say natural disaster again I swear to God I'll stick both of my pens in my eyes and twist them until they reach my brain."

@vincentlance 11 months ago

Evans is genuinely a funny antagonist. It isn't even vague nihilism, he just fucking loves making an already bad situation worse for a thrill.

>japanese game featuring Americans
>the most essential healing item is burgers

What did they mean by this?

@SkaliasPablo 11 months ago

Ray putting in actually a stupid amount of action hero work into trying to save the guy cursed to die is a pretty good way to convey just how dedicated to DISASTER RESCUE he is
