What’s your favorite summer horror movie?

@infernusrex796 1 year ago

The reason Angela killed the little kids is because they were the ones that threw dirt on her after she almost drowns, a LOT of people miss that because of all the Drama on the dock!

"Eat shit & live Bill" is one of my all time favorite quotes!

Let's be honest if there's anyone who is completely messed up it's the Aunt because man she did such emotional damage that led to the events of the first film.

Sleep away camp . The movie where the killer's identity is a bigger twist than the killer's identity

YESSSS!!! Haven't watched the video yet, but I am excited. Sleepaway Camp has become one of my favorite horror movies. Thanks to you.

Felissa Rose won me over instantly. It's her eyes, man. That's why I haven't brought myself to watch the sequels

To be honest, Ricky is the MVP of the first movie. He's the only one at Arawak who gives a crap about Angela & yeah, he's got some anger issues but what kid at his age doesn't? Also, "Eat shit and live, Bill" is the best response to an insult ever

First, In Praise of Shadows dropped a Sleepaway Camp retrospective and now Lord Matt Draper. The YT horror video essay enthusiast community is eating good, boys!

"Eat shit and live Bill" still one of the greatest lines of all time

A very key detail gets left out of the Angela debate. They were severely injured during their early development. Remember, they had brain damage from the boating accident. Therefore it calls some question into whether Angela was truly cognitive of any decision.

Robot Chicken voice OH MY GOD, SOMEBODY REMEMBERED THIS MOVIE AND MADE A RETROSPECTIVE ABOUT IT

There is an official novelization coming out in August. I have an ARC and about 60% done with it and it gives you great insight into Angela. In the novel she wants to be a woman but not necessarily Angela. Right off the bat, it tells you who survived the boat accident so i would recommend reading this after seeing the movie. Great video once again.

10:20 The kids that were killed in the woods were the ones who were throwing sand at Angela at the beach earlier after Ricky pulled her out of the water.

Sleepaway Camp 2 is an underrated gem imo. Springsteen absolutely chews up the scenery and I love that Angela’s pursuit for an ideal camp leads to her slaughtering literally every single person at said camp. Not 10 minutes passes without somebody getting murdered in an often needlessly brutal way. I love it.

I didn't mind Angela being disguised for most of Return to Sleepaway Camp. I think it would've worked if Ricky had shown up earlier in the movie and if there had been a central protagonist camper that we could root for that Angela was protecting. Having Allen be so unlikeable just made for a tedious watch. I also had no clue Angela was the cop -- so it was a fun reveal. It just isn't something I'd ever rewatch. So congrats on making it through multiple viewings.

Kudos for including the CKY/Deron Miller connection.

My favorite videos of yours are your horror ones (they’re all great though!) and this one is no exception. Even though they’re not particularly good movies, there’s something about the Sleepaway Camps (1-3) that are pretty memorable and nostalgic, especially the original.

Can’t wait for the Hellraiser retrospective! Your pain is going to end up being our pleasure!
