One of the greatest tracks in gaming imo

CAPCOM told cassey they didn´t want heavy guitars in this song, so he did heavy bass

Always love another bury the light reaction.

They captured Vergil's soul in this song. Top tier, THE BEST battle track I've heard in a game

I NEED MORE POWER

Even after to many year's this song its still powerful

Victor Borba and Cassey Edwards did another dmc song called "fire inside" its really good

You mentioned Clair Obscur. Fun fact. Victor Borba, the vocalist on "Bury the Light" is the same person who sang "Une vie à peindre" from Clair Obscur

The cool part about battle themes in dmc 5 is that they play during every combat encounter but are controlled by your score. When you land combos you build the style meter. Starts with D and can be built all the way up to SSS. The song builds together with the style meter. The chorus only plays when you reach S or higher. So it’s a genius way to motivate the player to try and land longer combos and get that high style rank.

Btw the solo part at the end was not planned to be included it’s just the artist was feeling the song and was lost in the music and ended up playing that pretty much freestyle, and they decided to leave it in. So peak bro

Real good stuff

dmc is peak

Berry Delight 🔥

13:11 this meme ruined my life

Casey Edwards worked with Mick Gordon on the Doom Eternal OST! And he said that the things he learned from Mick were useful in the creation of this song as the game studios had similar requirements for the tracks: heavy, but no electric guitars (until the finale of the song in this case), so he used similar techniques.

Fun fact about the game, the battle theme always plays during a fight (obviously) but the vocals only kick in when your combo currently at S rank or higher.
Gives you this extra push when you're already crushing the enemies to go even harder.

😱 finally u reaction to game themes
That album's name is: Path of Totality

let's go, i've been waiting for this, now i feel motivated!

That's a funny coincidence. The singer of the best track of dmc5 (this one) is also present in the best track of Clair obscur.

The most epic song I listened to in a video game.
My beloved masterpiece!
