Fun fact about Bury the Light: The song was supposed to be 6 minutes long, but Casey didn't know if he would ever have another opportunity to work on DMC, so the last 4 minutes are a love letter goodbye to Vergil.

Funny thing, this isn't his boss theme. This is his theme as a playable character, it plays during normal gameplay as him!

Bury the light is just a Masterpiece. Even if you don't understand the incredible symbolism and story telling in the lyrics, the instrumentation and Victor Borbas vocals will CRUSH YOU with how powerful they are.

10:50 the line "my family crest is a demon of death" line isn't a reference to Dante's Inferno; Vergil's katana is called Yamato, which is the demon of death in japanese lore. The line in the song is both a nod to that bit of lore, and the fact that the sword is the last and most important thing he got from his father, who was a very powerful demon who betrayed hell to save humanity.

Wanna know something funny? When capcom commissioned this song they didn't want any electric guitar in it. But Cassey, being the clever devil he is, choose to blast our ears with a mad bass usage. What you hear isn't an electric guitar having a stroke but a bass having a stroke!

Bury the light might be one of the top 10 most intense songs i have ever heard.

Videogames or not. Almost every time i listen to it i can feel the hair on my neck stand to attention just as the chorus comes in that third time.

"Maybe Casey was the Edwards that we knew along the way" wise words from a wise teji

The fact that the lyrics themselves are also extremely powerful when you know Vergils story. Incredible song

"I am the storm that's a approaching." This song will be your MOTIVATION

I see Bury the Light in the title, I click immediately. I hope you do Devil Trigger too cause that one SLAPS so hard.

Fun fact: The second half of this song references several other themes from DMC. Notable "Devils Never Cry", "Shall Never Surrender", and the most obvious one, the final climax segment of the song is the same melody as the chorus of "Devil Trigger".
