The topic is "Does that sorting really make sense? Taboos in the recycling industry"
Is the common sense notion that "recycling = good" truly correct today?
The amount of waste and garbage continues to increase year after year, and as collection has expanded to include "dirty plastics" and "composite materials," the reality is that we are relying on "heat recovery through incineration" because cleaning and processing require energy and water.
Furthermore, there are numerous problems related to waste, such as recycling rates that are only discussed in terms of collection volume, designs that cannot be dismantled, outsourcing by waste-generating companies, the lack of an outlet for recycled materials, and the lack of traceability.
In this project, we will directly address consumer misunderstandings and corporate contradictions, and thoroughly consider "what should be stopped and what should be changed" in order to move forward with a circular economy.
What will we learn?
