I always thought it was shame. That the doctor had been locked away without him realizing (they say he was a recluse even if it was a bit more do than usual), all access to the outside world having been stripped from him. Then just went bonkers from isolation and shame, as he learnt what was about to happen, too chicken to end it himself, so built SONNY to do it for him. That was child me watching it for the first time.

Fun fact: the guy who plays Billy in the ad is Cody's brother Tyler. He has his own channel called KnowledgeHusk, and it's... it's something.

Originally the Androids from DB were "Artificial Human" that's why number 17 & 18 were cyborgs while number 8 & 16 were robots

I always just assumed Sonny broke the glass, and the DR jumped.

The spy back flipping on the noose is from the (totally sane and not fever dream) ‘The heavy is dead’ tf2 animation. You should react to it ;)

5:58 a Hellsing Abridged reference in big 2025 absolutely took me off guard

No matter what, movie gave us one fun line
"Can you?"

You NEED to watch "heavy is dead" it is a CLASSIC

13:25 cybergrind starts playing,  coins tossed and shotgun blasts punched

Since discovering your channel, it’s officially become a tradition that whenever Cody uploads a video to Pointlesshub, I will eagerly await your reaction for even more delightful insight and perspective (and laughs, of course).

And no: you are not beating the allegations. AT ALL. 😂

I always felt that Azimovs point with the three laws was to create something that sounds logical on the surface, but really highlights just how incompatable human and machine intelligence would be...
Almost like no matter what we do, machine logic is fundamentally flawed to us humans, while human logic is fundamentally flawed to machines.

Basicly, just the entire Geth/Quarian conflict in Mass Effect, and even the Reapers!

Jack has summoned the TF2 sect of his audience once again.

"why did we give a robot muscle structure?" A disappointingly simple answer. Human Vanity, a desire to create something like us so it's more familiar. However we still seem to be in the uncanny valley stage of this.

17:21 you called it!

26:23 OH NO, HEAVY IS DEAD

26:23 It is good day to be not dead 😎🤏

2004 was also the year of Half-life 2, Halo 2, Metroid Prime 2, GTA San Andreas, Snake Eater, the Nintendo DS and World Of Warcraft…

26:10 So you haven't seen Heavy is dead I assume?

It took me a solid 15 seconds to remember The Giver after you showed it on screen, like "why is that familiar? why did Tuck Everlasting come to my mind when I saw that? OMG I READ THAT IN SCHOOL"

You gotta watch the heavy is dead. Such a classic and funny sfm in my eyes. Someone also got the VAs to do a dub of it i think last year.
