that one racist egirl has forever ruined the image of this makeup style

“stole my piercing setup” core

I love the nyashka makeup, and the cybercore vibe it has the potential to be repurposed for

I hate how this make up style can be mistakenly confused by Jirai Kei make up, yami make up or doujin make up

The biggest reason that the "misery girl" is hated isn't actually because of it's similarity to nyashka, but because it's heavily related to extortion communities (which is why this style is often called comgirl) and a stereotype for these girls is that they're adapting the cute-core aesthetic to make themselves appear more child-like.

People with this makeup CAN be bad, but I think people use this as an excuse to be mean

I think this makeup is really cute but im not a racist or ageplayer. I dont like how most of the people who see this associate it with these, and how the normal people who wear it get hate for no reason.

I edited this comment since people thought i was generalising and calling everyone who wears this makeup an age player or racist.

of course hating on this makeup started trending EXACTLY when i started getting into jirai kei 😭

It is VERYYYYYY important to know that the aspects of this makeup styles are popular with Jiral kei ad gear and many j fashion spaces and is NOTTTTTTTTTTT AT ALLLLLL associated with RCTA!!!!!!!! You can be any race and do your makeup in these styles. An Aegyo sal is not race changing it's just cute that's all.

As a black European girl it always makes me sad when I see beautiful makeup like this worn by beautiful girls and then learn that they often have far right beliefs

people on tiktok have started putting this misery sticker under any girl who has a slight alt makeup style… they use it so insult them

I love draincore, those type of makeups, hardtekk and jump style but it's raided with the nastiest people istg 💔

In Russia teenagers do go out like this, but to very specific places where they know they won't be judged (to parties or concerts)

I hate mfs who ruin things for EVERYONE ELSE! I really like makeup like this and I think it's so cute, but they've (at least almost) COMPLETELY ruined it! 😭😭

A lot of these aesthetics come with extremely terminally online takes and a subculture mostly tied to isolationism and a really horrid ideology and not community building or progressive values and that’s kinda what makes this stuff unappealing to me

Downturned eyes have always been cute af. I've been into gyaru style since the late 90s and there's a lot of crossover. I honestly like makeup looks that are meant to be "repulsive" to most other people.

watching this vid as a ukrainian is very cool you did a lot of research on nyashkas 😭😭

it's getting out of hand now especially on Instagram reels, where any alternative woman's comments are beginning to get flooded with "dada play misery" comments from men making fun of them. god forbid you have a couple piercings and dark eye makeup. it's only a matter of time before this bleeds into irl harassment too.

ay isn't this that person that made the zootopia abortion comic video

im actually so devestated by the reputation of this makeup style. i remember when everyone suddenly started going "misery girl!!!" at me. i was like, huh?
