Who's Actually Watching Child Beauty Pageants?

Casey Simpson

Child Beauty Pageants are exploiting KIDS, little girls by parading them at age 4, dressed like they're 25, raking in 4.5 BILLION dollars a year, and I'm wondering.... how is ANY OF THIS LEGAL. It all started with Toddlers and Tiaras.

I’m a seamstress and costume designer and I refused to make children’s pageant dresses or costumes. I could have made thousands of dollars but I find them so disgusting and abusive.

Selling your babies to pedophiles is so terrifying, entering a kid into a pageant should immediately flag CPS , you shouldnt be having kids!!!

That clip of the little girl running away while yelling for her dad and screaming "get away from me" while being chased by grown ass people with a camera is always so disturbing to me. Like how they could air this is truly beyond me.

I'll never believe these parents actually love their children.

Pictures of children in beauty pageants always remind me of those renaissance paintings where babies have grown adult faces, they’re both super uncanny.

It's trafficking disguised as "beauty pageants"

Little girls are NOT “parading themselves in front of adults!”
Their PARENTS are parading them….

Who even come with an idea to dress 5 year old as 40 year old?

@Supersteffy 1 month ago

They want the children to look like 30 year olds, and the 30 year olds to look like children

When that mom said to her 6yr old to shake her butt a little but doesnt have to be like a stripper it shocked me when the girl responded with telling her mom that it was inappropriate. Because to me that implies the LITTLE GIRL knows what a stripper is, what they do, and why its inappropriate. A little girl that has not been exposed to sexual things like that at a young age should have responded with something like "what is a stripper?" I know at that girls age, thats how I would have responded as a young girl because I had parents that shielded me from mature things like that as a parent should. Like wtf??? Thats a massive red flag that mom is exposing her young child to adult things she should have absolutely zero idea of. Thats insane...

I knew a pagent girl at my old school. She was so immensely miserable, had been to hospital after hospital for eating disorders and anger, at one point she had even gotten taken in by the police for sex trafficking. Every guy she dated was either a senior or in college. I hope she gets out of there okay :(

I agree with a lot of the sentiments in the video, but I have a problem with specifically the language of "childhood innocence." I've often used that term used to shield children from things that are healthy for them to know because their innocence is somehow this saintly value, which can't actually cause harm in the long run. For example teaching young children basic sex ed, particularly the vocabulary for parts of the body, protects them from SA as they are able to identify what's happening and report behavior. The idea that children need to be shielded from anything and everything that may scare them or make them uncomfortable can lead them to being adults without the skills to deal with those situations. So child friendly horror and telling the kid their dog died is good for them as it helps them develop emotional intelligence

the way that one girl who was crying and saying she was always beautiful was eviscerated online by every reaction channel under the sun a little less than a decade ago for being a "spoiled brat" is WILD

all of those poor girls deserve another childhood my god…

How the fuck is it still legal is beyond me. These poor kids.

These babies should be playing with friends, not posing for pervs

I knew a girl in HS that was an ex-child pageant winner, she competed since she was 3 or 4. She was super popular and always would be super conscious of her appearance. She tried her hardest to please all the guys and male teachers. Soon after she got pregnant and tried to give herself an abortion with a hanger. She now is no longer with us. Just another victim of oversexualization and grooming at an young age.

They should’ve been banned years ago. Better yet, they should’ve been banned the moment someone pitched the idea. Child abuse. Period!

@ANukeWithLegs 1 month ago

things start getting really dark once you start asking why child sized Lingerie even exists

@6sunflower9 1 month ago

It's child sex trafficking, simple.

There's a special place in Hell waiting for the parents and adults that participate in these disgusting "pageants."

26:39 "fun" fact: i follow this person on tiktok and both their parents were generally heavily abusive to them, all their parents cared about was them succeeding at ANY price. their mom even accused them of lying abt being sick (they werent lying) to get out of running races. they also were not allowed to cry infront of their mom, wasnt allowed to do the hobbies they wanted unless their mom approved them, wasnt allowed to read in public, etc etc.
