Some years ago, I wrote they were the saviours of Heavy Metal. Now they ARE Heavy Metal.

World class thrash metal song! 🔥🤘

I’m pleased to say that I am front and centre in the audience. I fulfilled a pledge that I would see them the first opportunity I got after I discovered the band. I had to wait over two years, but in the three years since I’ve seen them another 20 times. Budokan next in 8 weeks time.

THE QUEENS OF METAL!!!!🥰😍🤟🔥

That's how you open a show ! Yes, this is one of the band's best thrash tracks. BTW, Lovebites recently dropped their first single/MV "The Castaway" from their new full-length studio album "Outstanding Power" which will be released in less than 2 weeks on 18 February 2026

Well done, you passed the test to join the wolfpack! 😊 This was the first song of their first live performance after almost two years of absence and with a new bassist. If you listen carefully, Asami, the singer, says at the beginning, “WE'RE BACK,” and as the first song, they had many to choose from, but they played a song written by the former bassist who left the group and is one of the reasons for their long absence (there are others too). These girls are adorable 💗

"The Castaway" will produce a similar response from you. That was a genuinely entertaining reaction. Thanks for taking the time!

Finally we’re back to Lovebites 😀 This song is definitely thrash, but they play many types of metal, not just thrash. Miyako, guitarist on the right, is a very serious musician, she is a concert pianist as well as a metal guitar player and regularly gives piano recitals. Away from music she is a lot less serious looking and is a sweetheart.

For something completely different, and less frantic, I would suggest “Edge of the World” [Official Live Video from “Memorial for the Warrior Souls”], I think you’ll really it.

What's amazing about Japanese groups is that all the members have amazing technique and sense for playing instruments. The singer is of course amazing, and the song's unique composition is also amazing.

for something somewhat acoustic give Epilogue a listen

One of my very favourite songs from my all time favourite band.

5 very nice and immensely talented human beings!  They typically wear white while performing as they enjoy being feminine women and they are all small, ranging from 4' 9" to 5' 2" - the white makes them more visible on a large stage!  Keep reacting to them, as after 4 years of listening to (and watching) them this 61 yr old is still mesmerized! Cheers!

You can't help but feel exhausted after that. The perfection at that speed is unbelievable

I know you said you have heard them before, but man this is the best band in the world. I got to see them live last November in Chicago. It was absolutely the best concert of my life. I even had VIP and got to meet the ladies after, they were amazing and so sweet. I brought them a huge bag of snacks and ramen, they even posted it on social media and thanked me and the other guy who did the same. I will always go see them when I can.

No one plays Thrash better LIVE than Lovebites!!! The new album is due out soon and the Wolfpack can't wait. M&M continue to push each other despite being polar opposites in the pursuit of perfection especially LIVE. The level of talent of each member of this group is simply INSANE.

Lovebites are leading the way for the latest resurgence of traditional metal IMO. The genre kind of went away (more like it just went way underground for a while) but made a resurgence in the late 90's with bands like Hammerfall and Nocturnal Rites waving the flag of "true metal" when grunge and nu metal had taken over. That resurgence died down again in the mid-2000's but it has seen another resurgence because of bands like Lovebites. They really have revitalized the genre with their incredible playing and energy. It's great for this old guy to see! There was a time when "guitar solo" was a dirty word lol...nobody would solo anymore and I really was disappointed. I love when bands do a little bit of showing off their skills...I mean, why not? It's supposed to be a performance, right? Such a great band...another great song/performance from these incredible ladies. Cheers!

That's how you start a show!
This was Fami's first show as the new bassist.
At this time she was 20-21 and had massive shoes to fit...

She's a beast that can play about anything.
Finger, slap and tap... probably pick too.
At least: she also learnt the gallopp style, that Miho was known for...
...and which she learnt by studying Steve Harris!

During the auditions, her participations were held secret.
I bet they feared that it would be a LOT of presssure from her followers.
She got a channel which got about 4 times as many followers as the band!!

Next song? maybe their latest release? "The Castaway"?
Or "When destinies align" OLV or OMV? Both are great!
Holy war, Shadowmaker, Soldier Stands Solitarily...

L&G, this is how to start a Metal show. Breathtaking skills, and happy smiles . 🐺 GER

Thrash and speed are my favorite sub genres, although I love all metal. LOVEBITES are simply relentless, and they do it at elite/virtuoso levels. No weak link in this band, none. Nice reaction. In general, LOVEBITES blends power/thrash/speed/heavy metal, sprinkles in classical, wears so many influences on their sleeves, and to the Wolfpack it's LOVEBITES Metal.

This was the opening number of Lovebite's first concert after a two year hiatus due to the founder and original bassist leaving in August 2021, Covid snd two of the members having babies. This was the first concert for their new 20 year old bassist who previously had not played metal, had not played in a band before and had not played in public in front of an audience of any size/ You wouldn't know it from her performance and stage presence, Most of the band members are in their mid thirties so with Fami Gen Y met Gen Z.
