I'd just put a deposit on the BMW E64 630i I'd wanted for years - 2,600 km away in the UK. Then the BMW E93 I'd already sold came back to the workshop with an oil leak.

What looked like a potentially serious N47 problem eventually led to a missing bellhousing bolt left out during earlier work. After cleaning the underside, repeated test drives and hours tracing the oil, I fitted the missing bolt and got the E93 dry again.

Meanwhile, I was still trying to arrange an inspection and collection of the 630i before bringing it home to Spain.
