Bob Newhart just passed away a few hours ago, may he rest in peace.   Now he’s up there (in heaven) with his best buddy Don Rickles! 🙏

I've never seen Don Rickles so quiet and respectful you can tell he really loves his friend Bob and respects him by giving him time to speak.

Heaven just got funnier today R.I.P BOB say hello to DON for us.❤❤❤❤❤

Don Rickles son dies 21 years later at age forty. He spoke of how it devastated him in an interview with Dan Rather. If you, out there, can find a rebroadcast of The Big Interview With Dan Rather, it is well worth watching.  I found that it showed the humble, sensitive side of Mr. Rickles. Rip, Mr Warmth.

I love how everyone in the audience is dressed up, the men are in button downs or shirts and ties and the women are in skirts and dresses. Being an audience member of a daytime show was a special event.

All three : intelligent, respectful, loyal and  above all, gentlemen.

My wife and I were fortunate to see Bob Newhart perform live in Toronto in the mid 1990's---I will never forget his first joke..." Hi, I 'm  Bob Newhart---I am half German and I am half Irish...I guess that makes me a meticulous drunk"----What a great  2 hour performance from a great comedian!...... R.I.P Bob and Don!!...Two of the best of their Era!...

I miss these two more than anyone will ever know. Two comedians with a skill level so high, they will forever be unmatched—ever. They had class, style, charisma, wit, timing, and never had to resort to foul language to pull off their legendary showmanship.

Just found out that the one of the funniest, warmest most decent men on the planet has just died. What a loss but aren’t we all so much better for having had him.

My son and I were talking about how much we both adored Bob Newhart. Several months ago I was lucky enough to find the first LP done by Bob Newhart for sale. I was able to purchase it for my son.

Don Rickles, despite his insult comedy approach, was actually one of the sweetest guys you could ever meet. A true sweetheart of a man, loyal, honest, and truly kind. I know this first-hand. A great guy. Also, Bob Newhart is complete class. True gentlemen.

Rickles, Newhart, Jonathan Winters, Pryor, so many great comedians/entertainers came across Carsons stage back then.  So many of them were good friends in life, their chemistry made for great entertainment.

Wow .... I grew up in the late 90s..... BUT since I lived with my grandparents guys like RICKLES N NEWHART was the people I grew up with. I thank my grandparents everyday for introducing me to this era and legendary people like them!

I miss the shows of the 70s .Bob Newhart , Mary Tyler Moore , Mash etc. Decent funny shows .

Pure, 100 percent class.  A rare commodity these days...

I can’t get over how well-spoken everyone is.

When I grow up, I want to be just like Don Rickles.
