Sedat Şahin… His life, stretching from Bafra to Istanbul, unfolded at the heart of one of the longest and most complex feuds in Turkey's organized crime history.

From clashes with the Hacı Çapan and Temurtaş groups to Operation Sahra, from his years in prison to the murder of his brother Vedat Şahin in Nişantaşı in 2014, Şahin's story was shaped by dozens of lawsuits, operations, and mutual animosities.

However, the biggest turning point in this story was the confrontation that began with the Sarallar family.

The Şahin-Sarallar feud, which began in the 2000s, escalated into a long conflict involving figures close to both sides in the following years. The murder of Sedat Şahin's brother Vedat Şahin, the names tried in the Sarallar cases, the reciprocal operations, and the years-long lawsuits became the most important turning points in this struggle.

Over time, the equation grew even larger.

Relations between the Şirinler group, based in Bahçelievler, and the Sarallar group deteriorated, and police investigations and news reports of the time indicated that the Şirinler group was acting in concert with Sedat Şahin's group. Thus, what initially appeared as a feud between the two groups transformed into a more complex structure involving various organized crime factions in Istanbul taking opposing positions.

Sedat Şahin was released in July 2023 after serving approximately eight years in prison.

However, the reckoning with the Sarallar group did not end there.

In September 2026, a new investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office revealed that Yakup Kerem Saral, a member of the Sarallar group who was a fugitive abroad, was preparing an attack against Sedat Şahin. Heavy weapons and ammunition were seized in a hidden arsenal in Beykoz, and 19 people were arrested as part of the investigation.

Thus, the Şahinler-Sarallar feud, which began nearly twenty years ago, was brought back to the forefront of Turkey's agenda.

This documentary chronologically examines Sedat Şahin's rise from his youth, the conflicts with Hacı Çapan and Temurtaş, Operation Sahra, the long-running feud with the Sarallar, the assassination of Vedat Şahin, how the Şirinler group became involved in this equation, his years in prison, and the developments leading up to 2026.

How did the animosity between Sedat Şahin and the Sarallar begin?

How did the assassination of Vedat Şahin change the balance of power?

Why did the Şirinler group turn against the Sarallar and become associated with Sedat Şahin's faction?

And why, almost twenty years later, is this feud still unresolved?

Through court files, official operation statements, police investigations, and news reports from the period, we trace one of the longest-running feuds in the history of organized crime in Turkey.
