The previous owner sounds like a LEGEND, some nice hospitality from him 👏👏

Shall we all buy the old owner a pint?

If this car still works by January, I'm afraid it's mandatory for Will to go up to Scotland and buy the previous owner a pint - you guys could even do the NC500 whilst it's not absolutely clogged full of caravans at the same time, make a video out of it - I'd probably fit it with a set of winter shoes though

Will: I bought a lambo and will never financially recover from this.
Also will: FIVE GRAND FOR A MERC?! SIGN ME THE F UP.

I wish every car seller would be like that, imagine putting a FULL tank of gas and picking up the buyers from the airport, sounds like a dream buying experience

The previous owner is the sort of person we all want to buy cars from. I don't care what car he has now, but I want it when he's done with it...

The guy I bought my Elise from was the same, picked me up from the station, filled the car up with fuel, spent a couple of hours going over every single bit of the car with me, almost seemed offended when I declined lunch… and then delivered a boot full of spares and a hardtop to me on a completely separate occasion.

There’s still good people selling cars, which is nice.

Welcome to Scotland- we do car deals right. Most of the time.

Will is now living like a noughties millionaire. You need to do an MTV Cribs parody skit ASAP.

The split view screen is just black magic. I don't care what technical explanation there is for it, it's pure sorcery.

As a mainland European, the difference in hospitality travelling from England to Scotland was night and day. The Scots are fantastic. 1:38

i bought my c350 C class from a similar sounding guy, but in the south of scotland (im from the north of scotland).  Old guy, picked me up in his SL500 and took me to his house where my c class was waiting, hand polisihed, freshly valeted, immaculate, all service history and reciepts there, had it serviced recently for the new owner - just in beautiful condition.  Tea and biscuits from his wife, gave me a discount on arrival (i think because he just liked me) then told me to text him when i got home!  Makes me so proud to be scottish knowing this is how we are.

Everyone rips on boomer spec and these sort of vehicles but in reality they are absolutely top tier comfort and power. Normally well looked after too. Armchair comfort > lightweight comfort. If you know you know! Will now has to shop at waitrose

Having that brake hold line lock feature is one of the most "I can never go back" features you can get. Both of my E class of that era have had it. That, along with the automatic headlights, wipers, keyless entry, and power trunk have made me about spoiled rotten.

I get that these cars are expensive to fix, but it still has to be one of the most underrated cars ever. Such a pretty car, and probably a fantastic cruiser.

Edwin’s accents always crack me up 😅

As a german myself i have to say thats peak comedy. We fooled the englishman once again with a button and no blind

I was initially disappointed by a car channel taking a plane but then it clicked that you’d have to drive a sight unseen 15 year old Mercedes back from Scotland. I salute you 😂

Massive respect for previous owner. A proper gentleman. I would keep the Merc.
