The MANY Disturbing Simpsons Infection AUs

Sunflower

Anyone visited by the Dud is infected with something that causes this slowly and creepily smiling Homer face to replace the victim’s face. I’ve seen these, and I know you’ve seen them. They have quite the cult following spanning decades, and the rabbit hole on what it all is goes deeper than you could ever imagine.

Love how serious horror YouTubers talk about bullshit like “family guy infection au” and the thumbnail is something like “death is our only hope”

Spiritually an April Fools' Day video

I think one important question that everyone is forgetting to remember or ask is that Homer himself may be the only person in the entirety of human existence who is immune to the effects of the Dud, because he can't undergo identity death to be turned into himself, he already is.

Honestly I think Homer’s slow-realization dad smile is really cute lol. I cannot be scared of the Dud when its origin is the genuine expression of a dad playing a stupid board game with his family.

I find this meme interesting, it's almost how one would remember things with dementia. Think about it, your brain is forgetting things at a rapid rate to the point you only know fragments of your own memories, and perhaps you start blending in parts of memories with other memories that are also fragmented because you remember nothing else. Like how the meme is replacing some parts of the show with other parts from another memorable part of another episode. You only remember the creepy face, that card of the nerdy guy, and very rarely phrases like "you've got the dud", but you cant help but blend it in with entirely something else, over and over again until you cant even recognize what you even just remembered.
