The Sopranos star Drea de Matteo joins Andrew Gold on Heretics for an unfiltered interview about Hollywood, cancel culture, vaccine mandates and the cost of refusing to play along.
Best known as Adriana La Cerva in The Sopranos and for her role in Sons of Anarchy, Drea describes being dropped by her agent without a phone call, facing foreclosure and turning to OnlyFans. But the question she says she was asked while caring for the woman who raised her takes this conversation somewhere much darker.
We discuss Donald Trump, RFK Jr, Robert De Niro and why Drea questions Hollywood’s celebrity political endorsements. She also reveals her surprising first Sopranos paycheque and what happened when a harness snapped during a violent scene.
Plus, Drea shares her views on geoengineering, religion and institutional power — before we confront what people actually mean when they call Hollywood “demonic”.
How much should someone have to sacrifice to keep working in Hollywood? Share your thoughts below and subscribe to Heretics for more conversations about free speech, power and questioning the establishment.
