Sutherland was perfect for this role. It is one of his best performances. So talented

Donald Sutherland’s ability to portray a man that he himself thoroughly despised so truthfully is insane

Snow never lied to her, but Coin most definitely did.

Snow never lied to her….. let that sink in

I like how Snow raises his hand to silence him, showing his power over everyone in the dining room. RIP Donald Sutherland

Snow is the embodiment of civilized evil.

Sutherlands laugh upon coin getting the arrow is my favorite part of the movies. That laugh says a thousand words.

Rest in peace, Donald Sutherland. It still felt like it's yesterday when we lost you. We are so glad people like Tom Blyth and Ralph Fiennes are here to carry your legacy.

Donald rocked it every scene.

One of my favourite scenes with Snow is in Mockingjay part 2. He is unwell and has his head down on the table thinking that Katniss is dead. Then, someone comes in to tell him she's been spotted alive. Donald Sutherland perfectly shows such an array of emotions: desperation to see the footage (something we don't see from the character), relief that she is still alive and that his 'fun' isn't over and then excitement about this realisation.

Fantastic actor, rest in peace.

Gotta love the fact that in the end Katniss did something at the behest of Snow because Snow knew exactly what she needed to do to win. It’s like he said in the garden; he is not wasteful and takes lives for a reason. There was no reason in killing children when it was clearly over and the only option he had was capitulation.

The first game master was so oblivious of everything, he was literally just a game host

He absolutely demolished this role. Donald Sutherland was famously very nice and beloved, yet he plays the cruel dictator so perfectly.

After "Sunrise of the Reaping", that last conversation between Katniss and Snow is just woah. Anyways, his death is so satisfactory, love it

Snow was an oddly likable character in these movies. What he stands for and what he does is obviously horrifying…but it’s tough to completely hate him. I find myself nodding along to some of the things he says lol

In my opinion Snow still landed on top in the end.
He got to live to a ripe old age, have children and grandchildren, live a life of comfort and stability, destroyed all his adversaries for decades on end, saw his political rival struck down by his nemesis, and then sure - he is killed - but not before having cemented himself into the hearts and minds of all of Panems people for ALL TIME. That's immortality in my book folks 😂

The lines are ripped from the books but I love how quickly Snow challenges Katniss when she says "what an honor" by telling her not to lie. Because you dont have as much of the sceneplay from the books you dont fully know Snow's character, but here it establishes he knows the score: he know Katniss hates him, he knows the districts are oppressed and he knows his power is threatened by those who'd rather see it gone. Remember at this point we know very little about him, we dont know his whole book/movie, we dont know his journey to power, and we dont know just how cruel he is yet.Its good cinenatic timing you can't get with a book.
