I have great memories of that Willow arcade game.  When you're playing it, the first items in the owl's shop give you permanent upgrades to your main attacks.  I loved games that had RPG elements like that in the arcade (see also Cadash).

Little Nemo is public domain now. He's owned by no one

Sir Warwick Davies who played Willow was also Wicket in Return Of The Jedi.

Really impressed with Slipstream. The courses are presented in a pretty authentic manner with the correct (local) circuit sponsors, landmarks and even the colour of the kerbs. Apart from the Sydney opera house being in Adelaide, but eh what are you gonna say for an arcade like this! Better than any other 90s F1 sprite scaler I've seen.

For some context on Metal Walker, it is originally a early digimon/ digivice clone meant to cash in on the virtual pet walker craze back then.
It uses a inner pendulum like system where you clip on your belt and walk around with your Metal Walker robots.
The goal is to take your Metal Walker robots to the upgrade node located in a grid base map to upgrade your robot into a stronger robot while encountering enemy robots on the way.
It was a neat ideal but considering digimon and the various digivices are way more popular, it fell into obscurity.

You definitely played the inferior version of Battle & Chase. They carved out a TON of stuff when porting this to English. Most of it is voicework; there's a bot who tells you about the upcoming racetrack and opponent, a pre-race interview with said opponent, running commentary from two announcers, racer complaints when you take a part, ending dialogue, two karaoke songs... really makes things livelier.

(Yeah I imported this back when it was new. And wrote the FAQ on GameFAQs.)

The NES game for Little Nemo was advertised in a lot of comic book and kid magazines at the time I feel.

I see Slipstream! 🏎

Fun fact about the game: It's the only third-party game on Sega's System 32 arcade board! 🏁

Yoshinori Ono was the composer on Battle & Chase. One of his earliest if not first real job as lead composer.

The Nemo games are specifically based on the animated movie from 1989 which is based on the comic strips from the early 1900s. I think the movie is available for free on YouTube. It’s not terrible. The villain is awesome.

Re: Willow, I choose to believe those mega buster blasts are the stone acorns.

The last Capcom Disney game was Nightmare Before Christmas Oogie's Revenge on the PS2 in 2005.

Little Nemo originated as comic strip in the early 1900s. It's definitely in the public domain now.

I loved little nemo as a kid so much that i named my dog after him

I remember playing Willow as a kid and I loved that game.

That Bionic Commando on gbc is worth a full playthrough. You get different weapons for each character, several upgrades and whatnot. The animation is also fantastic for the little handheld.

I played Willow in the arcade when it came out. I spent a summer learning to finish it on a dollar.

Matt: "Capcom's not really known for making RPGs"

Breath of Fire: "Am I a joke to you?"

I remember the magazine print ads for Megaman B&C back in the day and I was so hyped, but than it never came out here and I always wondered why. Apparently there were too many character themed racing games in the gaming world at the time, so Sony didn't allow releasing it here in the U.S. Google the magazine ad if you get a chance.

Battle & Chase didn't release in the US until the Mega Man X Collection in 2006, because Sony declined to approve it for a US PS1 release on account of all the other mascot-themed racing games already on the market. Also, Little Nemo is in the public domain, however the specific movie that Capcom based their games on appears to be owned by TMS, the main production company on the Japanese side.
