The main mean girl played by Jamie Chung being so petty/mean that she was willing to be complicit to a political conspiracy just to be prom queen was pretty absurd to think about as an adult in retrospect lol

15:22 maybe it's the military brat in me but i always i guess assumed that Carter begrudges princesses specifically because they take her Dad's priority (sometimes over her) due to his job. She seems very independent, like she's left alone a lot and the P.P.P. thing obviously isn't kept secret  from her. So my takeaway was always that she hates princesses for taking her dad away and hates the girls at school for reminding her of those same princesses, not the other way around.
Maybe thats explicitly stated later and i just need to finish the video lol

this was MY Disney movie. I'd watch this every time it came on no matter what

Selena and Demi were also on Barney and Friends even before their Disney Channel days started.

0:29 Facts, Demi, Miley, and Selena were the faces of Disney. They were everywhere.

I never knew about the extended cut. That was such an insane lore drop.

Jamie Chung also played Mulan in Once Upon a Time! But I did not know that the other main kids were 10 years older than Selena and Demi 💀

8:36 I actually like that Carter knows her Dad's an agent but Rosie doesn't know that she knows so when the princess revealed stuff happens Carter just goes Kay.

I enjoyed this movie a lot. I think it really worked because Selena and Demi were BFFs at the time, and Disney was really hyping up their IRL friendship. "One and the Same" is indeed a banger. I do wish that the two collaborated more with music since they made that masterpiece of a song. It really is unique, with how different it is from traditional Disney Princess movies, where the princess character often falls in love with a prince, but instead, this is more about how the Witness Protection Program works. It is sad that the two aren't friends anymore, as you could easily tell how much their friendship impacted the movie

Who else is disappointed that Maria Canals-Barrera wasn't the princess' mom in this movie?

To be fair if the plan was to leave her at home...she'd likely be a sitting duck. Theoretically schools have security or at the very least, witnesses. Also the chance of anyone at the bait shop seeing her and wondering why her "cousin" never seems to go to school

OMG YOU'RE SPONSOREDDD, LET'S GOOOOO

22:14, no no! You're right. I'd argue that Demi is one of the best vocalists of our time (which I know sounds crazy but, her personal life has really overshadowed her vocal power), and she could be the most skilled to come out of disney channel.

I love how this movie takes place in Louisiana but everybody has either a California or valley girl accent

Regarding Rosie going to school, it might have been difficult for her to stay at the house because the tackle shop was attached. People may see her and ask about who she is. Also, it's better for long term. If shehad to stay there for a few years, then establishing her identity would be important (this would be worst case scenario).

This was something I’ve always wanted to see. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato teaming up together for a movie. For a while on Disney Channel, these two have been in separates from each other. Unless you want to count that one Sonny with a Chance episode or other  promotional stuff. But this was the first time these two iconic Disney Channel actresses team up for a movie and I actually kinda enjoyed it. I especially loved their song “One and the Same”. IMO, Selena and Demi have great singing voices, and them singing that song together was ultimate.

That year, we had Princesses on Disney Channel. The next year, we got KINGS on Disney XD.

I remember thinking there was gonna be a sequel to this when I was a kid

I remember being taken out of the story a bit when Demi's character is from a Spanish speaking island nation but she could not speak the language properly in the few moments she did in the movie.

So I was today years old when I found out that Kevin G schmidt is related to Kendall and the fact that Kendall even has a brother.
