I would not take a stroll through the woods

Old cryptid videos are the main reason why I love the Unfiction genre so much. It sounds strange, but I love the feeling of "imagine if that were actually real", especially if it has to do with space, aliens or just straight up unexplainable phenomena like Mystery Flesh Pit.

6:23 fun fact there was a period where mammoths were still around when the Pharaohs were ruling Egypt, they survived on an island called Wrangel Island and lived for 4,000 years before going extinct

Banger video 🤯🤯 I remember there used to be a trend over a decade ago trying to find Bigfoot in GTA San Andreas that was pretty peak

new sub.
I'm glad I found this because I've been working on a short film all year that is kind of an homage to the 2000s  youtube conspiracy theory videos about the megalodon and whatnot

Cryptid Island is one of my favorite islands in that game, I still play it to this day :D

i had a pretty stressful day and this was nice to wind down to, love ur videos bro ❤

I remember when i was in my early teens, i found a random Hungarian blog about cryptids. I didn't speak English yet and never heard about these things before. It was like finding out that magic is real. I read the articles about the Zuiyo-Maru and saw the photos... omg, my mind was blown.

It was a really special feeling, touching the magic. Then i realized all these are misidentifications or hoaxes as i read more and more on the subject, but oh boy, i had a week when it felt like the laws of nature and reality is not what i was taught all my life and wonders do exists.
I guess a lot of cryptid belivers can't let go of that feeling, even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I still love cryptids, as an interesting and fascinating social phenomenon. Always nice to listen to a spooky campfire story.

Great video! Found you randomly in my recommended, you got a new sub Sir! Keep up the good work!

11:47 Funnily enough there is a creature in folklore that for the most part matches the description of The Rake and has stories going back centuries.

That being, the Wendigo, which I know most people already think they know about, but those same people probably think it looks like a bipedal rotting deer. In reality it looked much more human, and depending on the story it could either be just a literal cannibal, more of a monster that looks like a giant frozen corpse, or something in between.
Either way it shares some physical characteristics with the Rake and whatever it is, it definitely isn't a giant rotting human-deer hybrid.
