Correction! The barrel has a straight taper, thicker at the breech, thinnest at the muzzle. It’s not slightly swamped as Kibler  had indicated just before they were released. A helpful viewer brought this to my attention 😊

Beautiful rifle sir.  I build my own flintlocks.  You did a fantastic job with the aqua fortis on the stock.  It is a little nerve racking working on such an expensive piece of wood.  I shifted to adding a dash of tannic acid on my last 4 rifles.  I just finished a transitional rifled .62 cal... took a decent white tail with it.  I can't wait to hear she hunts.  Good journey

That’s a beautiful build.   I hunt with .54 Hawken myself.   70grs. works just fine here in Louisiana for whitetail.  Love the smell and smoke.
