Restoring a child's chair, and now, the children :D

I have done many cane bottoms but never thought to do it that way. I think it works well for this child size chair. A larger chair bottom may come loose with an adult’s weight on it over time.  But for this chair it was ingenious

That cane bottom was brilliant!

I love this chair!  I have a child’s bentwood rocker.

Excellent work. Lovely chair.

Excellent!!! Beautifully done. Thank you for saving this little beauty!

I can just imagine the next restorer, deeply impressed by your solution to this challenge. I certainly am!

A great job I might say. Fantastic Restoration of this chair. 🪑

Wow! You did amazing job on that little chair. I don't blame you for not caning the seat. I warched Matt's video when he posted it, he said it took forever. I'm so glad you only put shellac on the finish. It so beautiful on the wood. I would love to have a chair like that for my grandson. Again, beautiful work! 👍😊

Beautiful work!

Looking lovely.
