Regardless what's going on I wish the girls would get a lot more love! They're amazing. If you see them live don't be afraid to HEADBANG! 🤘🦊

Also, when I mention lack of energy I strictly mean from the crowd. BABYMETAL has a TON of energy!

Saw them last night in Bristow Virginia, the line was ridiculous to get in. The pit and pavilion was jam packed.

Looking at BABYMETAL’s full 2026 routing—from huge US amphitheaters (15k–25k capacity) to Latin American arenas like Movistar Arena (10k–15k)—it’s pretty obvious they’ve moved up to a whole new level.
A tour is actually failing when shows get canceled because of poor sales, or when they have to downsize into much smaller venues. That’s not really what’s happening with BABYMETAL.
If they’re still pulling 10k–12k people per show, that’s already bigger than the 3k–5k halls they were playing last year. There’s basically nowhere to downsize to without going backwards.
So yeah, seeing empty seats in a 20k-capacity venue might look bad at first glance, but selling 12k tickets a night is still a very strong result. They’re clearly operating at the arena level now. 🦊🤘

I went to the show on the tenth of September in Mansfield mass. I asked the staff how many tickets were sold-it was about 6,500 out of  a possible 19,900. I really think babymetal's management was way out of bounds trying to book them at these venues. Especially the Boston date I attended, it's a pain to get to and not friendly in terms of uber or public transportation.
They really should have done a 10k max venue tour that is more accessible than these massive amphitheaters.

My favorite band of all time had blue dot fever in 2021, scandal cut about 75% of their US tour citing covid, but i saw them at the Atlanta show, their last of the tour before canceling the rest, and it was pretty lite. Masquerade is about 1500 capacity and they closed and curtailed off the upper level, and videos from the couple dates/shows before looked lite on audience too. It was sad to see because I love Scandal SO MUCH. I went to Japan couple years later and saw them and it was night and day difference, bodies almost as far as the eye could see.

In my opinion, as usual, they often tour on weekdays rather than on days off.

Im going to see them in the woodlands in 2 weeks. Has cost me almost 700$ so far for 4 tickets and parking.

I would prefer to see them in a smaller venue with air conditioning. The 713 in houston was perfect last year.

When you cannot afford a mortgage, you cannot afford expensive tickets. Ticketmaster/livenation is to blame.

I was at the Chicago and Holmdel shows and both were pretty packed. Even the lawn at Holmdel was pretty well filled.

I was in the pit at their Chicago show 9/4/2026. It was very hot and humid...still 90's at show time. Moa looked and was unhappy the whole show. I truly felt bad for them dancing their butts off in such a difficult environment. Anyhow if there are still lots of tickets available days before a date. It's due to fan lack of interest, logistics, high cost of ticket, parking, hotel and food and drinks. My show...Hotel $130.00, 12th row center $110.00 ticket, $57.00 parking and $19.00 ea. for 24oz beer x2. So yea there we're many open seats in back and on sides. What are you going to do.... Seeing Iron Maiden this Saturday 9/19 in Shakopee, MN with Megadeth show is very near sold out.

I Wanted to buy four tickets for Houston (6500 seats and 10000 lawn) but they only had a few tickets available, front seats was $600 and middle seats (row 50) wore $200, I bought two for me and my youngest for $200 each (couldnt risk seating to far away), I will try to wait and see if the Concert in Austin the next night will have cheaper prices when it get closer to the date and maybe I will buy four tickets and go with the entire family.

Setlist fm lists the same attendance for every show.  Not accurate. I can tell you the Indy (Noblesville) show was packed. Not sold out (24,000) but maybe 16,000-19,000 people.  Only small pockets of emptiness in the lawn area.

The weather is the biggest factor for most concerts. A lot of concerts are outside and actually the money situation is affecting people more. Especially gas prices. Most outdoor venues offer good prices to draw people in. They are still playing mostly small venues still.

babymetal is amazing i want to the new york show last year there was energy but most the guys were saying dirty thing about babymetal and security was leting the dirty close to the back room and i can't go back stage it was 2 day after my birthday but it was a great show

I think there are a few reasons why.

1) Ticketmaster. Pricing so high that people look see the price and don't bother. Also i don't know about the USA but theres a big backlash against ticketmaster and live nation here in the UK.

2) Market Saturation. Babymetal have toured the US every year for the past 3 years. i get that its a big market for them but its too much, not just for fans but for the performers too. Its not special if its so frequent.

3) I think people are just not spending the money on concerts like they used to. Its now a luxury purchase. Not only the ticket price, but travel, food, drink, merch. its a massive expense.

one thing that doesn't help is when 99% of the audience is people who work for a living, and the band doesn't hit the stage till 10 pm on a thrusday nite.  when you're 22 and you go to a show and not get to bed till 2 am, then up early,  go to work the next morning it's not that big a deal.  once you hit your mid 40's and beyond, it's a different thing entirely.
they were in jersey last nite.  for me, that's nearly a 2 hr drive after working 8 hrs. 40 min of a great show, then a 1 ½ (no traffic) drive home, and maybe by 1:30-2:00 i've unwound enough to sleep 3 hrs then up for work again.  i'm 61.  no way am i doing that.

I think one aspect you should also take into account is this: last year and prior, Babymetal's tours were usually in venues of ~2500 - 6000 ish people, outside of major Arena shows or Festivals. This year, almost every venue is 10K - 20K capacity. So ultimately, more people did show up to see Babymetal. Even if they weren't close to selling them out. And yeah, the current times, cost of living, etc., all play a factor, of course. But I think at the end of the day, you can probably look back and see a success in that more people ended up showing up for Babymetal than before! 🤘🦊

Not gonna lie, the Chicago event was kinda lame. The venue wasn't great and the sound was pretty bad which didn't help and the crowd was real small so the crowd interaction was muted (didn't help it was like 99% humidity and the heatwave was just ending) and Moa especially looked pretty annoyed, she and occasionally Momo made quite a few dismissive gestures towards the crowd. Halestorm seemed to have their own contingent of fans, a fairly large amount of which left early. The other opener got no response from the crowd at all but they were utterly generic so it wasn't too surprising. I previously saw BM in Toronto which is generally a "too cool to dance" city in 2023 and the energy and such was WAY higher. This tour has felt different and a bit more lackluster.

This is an industry wide thing, not simply Babymetal. It's called blue dot fever (from all the blue dots on Ticketmaster from unsold seats). Across the industry this year, tours are struggling to sell tickets in this economy. It is a thing, and no it's not a reflection of Babymetal.

I want to see them really bad, but I’m seeing Band Maid next month and the shows in the middle of the week are really hard because I can’t take off that many days, hopefully I will see them next i
