The S has advanced features like a screen in front of the driver and stalks.

I love the design of the model S, I like how everything is built in rather than looking stuck on. but it's just too big, I'd like a model S the size of a model 3.

I LOVE the Model S. Such an amazing car. Its huge, but handles like a smaller/lighter car. A marvel of engineering.

For me, the only problem with this, is its size.  To be honest, I would prefer a smaller than model 3 car.  I have owned big cars in the past, and know their failings, car parks that you can't fit into is probably the biggest.
I agree it is the best looking though.

Oh no, another rabbit hole. I had a ,leaf, then a model 3, then a Y (3 teenagers), and had a S on loan during a repair once. I agree the S is special but a bit big,. BUT why not treat yourself. Down to 2 kids again (university widow), maybe ungrade from standard to performance, lifes to short, but then so are parking spaces.

Like the model S look

Only issue I would have with it is the Width. Having just come back from the Lakes it is getting very difficult driving on some of those roads.
I think you need a demo drive up to Hawes for the day :)
But for eating up the motorway driving you mostly do I suspect it is ideal.

Model S with indicator stalks

Our extended family has 2 Model X.  They are the most amazing cars.  Put Kids in the back with a rain cover from those wing doors!  Pretty amazing elsewhere too.

I bought the Model S performance for all the same reason. It also drives smoother than the M3/Y. In NZ you can tow over 2.5 tonne with them as well and has been the best towing car i have ever had.

I love an S & hired one for two weeks back in 2015 in California which sold me on the brand.  Now own a 3lr & cant fault it except I wish it had a tailgate.

Ex S4 Tesla technician here, I totally agree with what’s been said. 3s and Ys are bomb proof, yes I did replace batteries throughout the Tesla range but they were few and far between. MCU (touch screen) once, the car computer once and 3 motors in 2 years.
Serviceable items with any manufacturer will always break  (brakes, suspension, tires etc). Save your money and buy cheaper elsewhere.

Interesting conundrum. For me the most up to date tech and the landscape screen for video content is more important than the unlimited warranty which will soon run out in 2027. You would also need to check the hardware version of older Model S vehicles.

8:10 Badoom-tish!

Hi Andy,
I also own a late 2020 model S ludicrous.. I bought it 15 months ago with very low mileage but at considerably more cost!
Love the car mind, though I’ve had several serious issues with it. Thankfully Tesla stepped up to the plate and eventually fixed everything under warranty, one item was actually a manufacturing fault!
I was able to do this as I had purchased it within the four year full warranty and was able to point out everything that was wrong before the four year warranty was up.. chose the car for the same reasons as you having owned a model 3 since 2020 👍

I totally get it, this makes it even harder on the people that can't charge at home, WTF 😤, I do a mix of home and public charging and honestly 5% of 7p per kWh is nothing but 5% off 60-90p per kWh is much better for everyone who needs public charging.

Great video thanks 😊

i had 2 model s and 1 model 3 and always love the look of the s and practicality

Agreed on the looks order. I actually like the Model S, and it's a hatchback, not a saloon like the 3. It's a little too big for me, and I am too risk averse to get one old enough to fit into my budget.

It's a lovely car, you chose well.
