Used Tesla… good idea, or? Can’t be much worse than a used Supercharged Range Rover! Ask me how I know… 😅

The pre-paid charging is nothing to do with the previous owner. The car needs to be registered in your name and then you add a credit card to the app which automatically deducts the money from your card when you plug in. It's a bit of a pain for a few days until you get the V5 but after it makes charging a dream!

White vinegar is used to remove mould from car interiors, so check carefully for water leaks…

14:41 agreed, for just doing daily tasks it seems like a decent car for that, not exciting but neither is getting stuck in traffic in a manual

When the cabin air filters are many years over due a change it can smell a bit like vinegar blowing out. Easy and cheap DIY replacement. Can access the two filters from the drivers side of the centre console down in the footwell.

When you said customer car park, my first thought was why would they need a park for cars.  I mean, is it so your cars can get a little sunshine and stretch their legs. 😀

People use vinegar to neutralise other odours.

I once bought a cracking M sport BMW 330i Touring, absolutely stunk of dog.
My wife said ''I'll clean it with white vinegar''....it did nothing but make the car stink of vinegar AND dogs.

We still affectionally talk about old ''Vinegar dog'....' great car and sounded incredible.

Only last week my 17 year old said ''Dad, you know what I'd really like as my first car? An old e46 vinegar dog''

True story

Really nice review. So glad you buddy is happy with his buy, he is a braver man than me. I would love to have a drive of a Tesla, I must do so soon. I am near BCA in Blackbush so will have to take a visit just re see how it all works. Thanks for sharing. 👍

quiet, smooth, no pollution, very efficient, instant power, 185 mile range, £7300 for that is an absolute steal, vinegar smell could be the screen wash, mine went funny once

White vinegar mixed in warm water kills mould but it stinks.
Bicarbonate of soda does the same thing without the smell.
Great for bits of mould on seatbelts etc when car hasn’t been driven for a while.

Got a 2026 model 3 performance. The most joy ive had from any car. Forgetting the supercar 0-60 the sound system is rarely mentioned. The fart button is just a bonus that had let to some classic comedy when used with perfect timing.

Joel, thank you for making such good videos. Picking up an old Tesla from bca isn’t on the face of it very exciting but you made it interesting. Liked the way you circled back to the charging warning so we could understand why it was showing.

03:00 - it's probably a cool little job to do for a short while; jumping in to random cars and handing them their new owner. you must get at least one Porche a day, that you get to have a go in.

Vinegar is used to get rid of bad smells. A cheap way to get rid of sick pee and poop smells from cars. Normally left to air for a few days then the vinegar smell fades.

10:46 Agreed. I was driving a McLaren only the other day thinking to myself how much the raked screen and bonnet drop off was just like a Tesla Model 3. 🤦🏻‍♂️👍🏻

I just purchased a 2021 with supervised self-driving & auto parking etc with 28k miles for £16,000 so you have a bargain and cheap motoring eg no servicing, 200 miles for £3 and constant Tesla improvement, free.

Nice to get a balanced report from a petrolhead. I'm on my second Tesla. My first was the same as the one you picked up, my daughter had it after me and now my ex wife has it.
Amazingly it has covered about 85,000 miles in 6 odd years but has never been serviced at all. Battery and drive unit are still well in warranty. Try getting that from Ford.
The boss is a complete idiot but these cars are very cheap motoring with amazing performance and what other car company sells fuel at half the price (Superchargers) of everyone else?

I have a late 2019 model 3 standard similar to this one but with very low miles. I get roughly 30 extra miles on a full charge to this one so can’t complain at the range you’re getting with that mileage at all. You just have to look out for knocks/creaks on the suspension as it’s a weak point on Teslas but is easy to fix. Other than that they are amazing and deffo worth buying a 5+ year old one as they still get the software updates etc

Don't leave an extension cable coiled up like that on a high load. 1) It can melt the plastic of the cord into one lump. 2) It can catch fire. 3) It creates "eddy currents" or similar in the cable. Which is why it was so slow charging.

I have a model Y performance, which is a fantastic car probably not for a lot of people. I’ve had a lot of cars over the years last 2 1/2 years has been my favorite car to drive to George. You need to set it up in the account so there is a payment.
