Let's Ride: the 500!

Hello and welcome to Lets ride to the next stop! In this series I ride branded bus routes around the local area and bring you along for the journey! This is the 4th of 5 trial episodes, or as I like today, The 4th episode in the 1st Wave With more ideas to come! The 500 is a relatively new route compared to what we have riden in previous episodes, with it starting on the 9th of May 2026 running 24/7 from London's Gatwick Airport to the stunning Sunshine Coast of Eastbourne! Passing though some stunning towns on the way down, those being East Grinstead (for the Bluebell Railway!), Uckfield (where you can't not have a walk around the high street or find the remains of the old Uckfield Station with the buffers still visable!) and Hailsham (with its Town square which the 500 passes straight through!)
I've riden this route before with my good friend @fynnjonestrains back when the route was only a month old. Check out that video here: Are Long Buses Really TORTURE???
You may notice that I was near the front for alot of these clips, please do not worry as i had permision from our lovley driver, Tom, who had to put up with me filming this for his 2nd half of his duty that he kindly invited me along!
The plan that I followed was as so:
500 - Gatwick Road North - Uckfield (0859 - 0958)
1HR BREAK IN UCKFIELD
500 - Uckfield - Eastbourne (1103 - 1211)
500 - Eastbourne - Gatwick Airport (1235 - 1456)
500 - Gatwick Airport - Gatwick Road North (1525 - 1529)
SATURDAY TIMETABLE
