The Mushroom Forest: The Last Illusion of Safety

The Mushroom Forest is peaceful.
Unlike other biomes in Subnautica, there are no constant threats, no warning screams, no obvious danger. Just towering fungal structures, filtered light, and an eerie silence that feels completely out of place.
But this doesn't mean the biome is empty.
From parasitic Tree Leeches that dissolve into their hosts, to entire ecosystems growing along the giant mushrooms, to the Cuddlefish eggs under the surface.
Explore the peaceful mushroom forest, a dense underwater ecosystem filled with tree mushrooms and vibrant marine life.

Playing blind, I was terrified of every biome at night so I parked my Seamoth under a tree and just waited for daylight. At this point I AFK'd to kill the time IRL but when I came back. I moved to the other side of the tree and was met by a Reaper that had swam very close to the ground (must have agro'd while I wasn't paying attention)
Overall, very memorable and absolutely terrifying.
