Mario Kart tour kinda has this

Toad would look like he would be a meta character because low speed combinations are already the meta and mushrooms are really broken on most 3 Lap Tracks and Intermissions/Route Tracks. Koopas “Shell Squad” also sounds really broken if you are a big fan of attacking.

This would make a fun side mode.

5:13 Waluigi and smash in the same sentence 😂

There was a double Bob-omb in mariokart tour

I would've given Waluigi the Giga Bob-omb from Mario Kart Tour.  It acts like a reference to his previous special item being just a regular Bob-omb, and the design of the Giga Bob-omb already feels like a Double Dash special item along the likes of the Giant Banana and Bowser Shell.

Lost of changes I’d make:
1. I’d make the yoshi egg throwable instead. You would hold L and move the trajectory with the D-PAD and release when you wanna throw.
2. The shy guy mask should obscure the players vision if either playing online or locally
3. The Launch Star should launch Rosalina off of her kart and depending on how much speed you built up your kart will keep going and while off kart you can do air tricks and then when a certain distance off the ground, you have to aim where you land, adding some challenge, high risk high reward. You miss your kart, you roll on the track, dust particles appearing under you and you have to get back up and manually walk back over to your kart. You hit it, you get 8 mushroom boosts plus the trick boosts you had built up prior
4. The fire and ink Piranha Plant should have different effects. The fire Plant should just shoot fireballs like mario’s ability but the ink one will spit ink onto the track, spinning out other racers while giving the blooper effect
5. The blue coin if used long enough should turn red for another ten seconds, giving you a free golden mushroom for not getting hit by items
6. The pianta should throw racers near him. It’d be funny
7. Sunglasses shoulda been replaced by him ‘poking’ the nearby racers with his beak
8. The bees should be like the bees from smash bros where they home in on players that hit you with any items
9. The gold flower would do the same thing but it would freeze other players in pure gold
10. if the snowball hits players from behind then they will get trapped in the snowball not players in front because that would give others advantages
That’s everything, but in all seriousness, this is pretty creative dude, keep up the good work!

EXACTLYYY. Like Mario kart world still has so much potential. Everyone complains about the intermissions (still valid) but this game also lacks in the items department, tracks, karts, costumes, etc. Like there’s so much more they could’ve done. Even Tour did items better than World did

I would change how Nabbit’s Bag works. I would say it should work like a boo where it steals an item from another player. But you have to physically bump into another player to steal the item. During the time you have the item, you become immune to all items except lightning and ones on the ground. So if another player is holding red shells, bumping into them wouldn’t hit you but instead you would steal them. Same thing if somebody had a star. If a spiny shell were thrown at you, you would steal it and hold onto it.

That would add so much more variety in which characters people choose! For Waluigi, I thought of something with a tennis racket, and for either Rosalina or Baby Rosalina, an item with a Luma (which has a different color each time, but the color doesn't need to affect the item) - Or maybe the hungry Luma? Maybe... Lubba?

This is honestly a cool idea, and I wish that this’ll become a mechanic in a future Mario Kart game!

Wait pretty much all of these are actually good ideas.

Torpedo Ted has been my favorite suggestion

Acting like a flower on Moo Moo Meadows that homes in on your opponent and once it crashes, it sends you flying like coming out of a Semi or Flower—that's awesome 😅

Baby Peach's seems too specific. I'd let it protect from blue shells and bloopers too, since they also float above before striking. Maybe protects from being crushed by a thwomp too

With the Catcher’s Glove referencing Chucksters, I would have liked the Pianta item to be a Chuckster Pianta just chucking your Kart ahead.

Charging Chuck glove should also be used thrown forward to let him get a speed boost and puts him in glider

You sir are a genius with this! If the Koopalings, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Funky Kong, Peachette, Kamek, Petey Prianha, Goomba, Poochy, King K Rool, King Bob-omb, Crayzee Dayzee, Baby Wario, and Baby Wauligi were racers, I wonder what would their items be?

double dash and tour was the only games with special items but on September 28 Mario kart tour is shutting down what if every Mario kart world character gets a Mario kart 8 deluxe to every character but every character doesn’t need 1 track

If the Peach Parasol protects Baby Peach from overhead dangers, then does that mean it also protects her from the Blue Shell since that would hit her from above?

3:00 I remember giving you this idea!
