Roosevelt Avenue in Queens is named after Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States (1901–1909), who was born in New York City. The elevated 7 train runs the entire length of Roosevelt Avenue, with stations like 61st Street–Woodside to 82nd Street. A recent NYPD-led crackdown in collaboration with city and state officials led to a crime drop of 28–40% & nearly 1,000+ arrests.

Roosevelt Ave will never change
It’s been that way since the late 1970s and it will continue for the next 100 years. Stay safe

Believe it or not since the 80s that whole strip has had prostitution! It used to be 25 dollars back in those days!

Jackson Heights is a very weird neighborhood, kind of like an Oreo cookie. On Roosevelt Ave side it is working class immigrant, in the middle is very wealthy, upper class garden apartments and on the other end, Northern Blvd side it becomes working class immigrant again.

So sad for these ladies.. They just want to survive. Life in NY is not easy.

That was FDR in the first few shots homie, he’s also part of the namesake. And he actually served 3 consecutive terms. Thanks for the video bro! Well done!

The Presidency doesn't control the state. The Governor and Mayor do.

You're definitely right. The train is extremely loud and annoying. I walk that path you walked all the time lol

If you can't fight just legalize it.

Thanks for that & years ago, in the early 1970's, "the NY Times", did a large spread about the gang wars, organized crime, etc., that you can probably find in the archives of the Library or the NY Times site, or other sites, such as the Long Island Press, the Daily News, The New York Post. As a former resident, I can say that it was more underground way back, but industry, easy living, big money, seem to have expanded everything & there's lots of videos from the 1970's online, about NYC, etc.. Cheers!

This area looks filthy. No way I will eat an empanada from there, haha.

Would love to see you call out landmarks, streets, intersections, etc. So viewers can go to google earth, etc.

Why would anyone think that living in the US is something special? Its such an over valued country full of crummy run down places. Takes lots of money to do the things 1 wants to do there.
