An extended video one of these days could break down all of the ocarina songs...but in the meantime, which one has always been your favorite?? Don't forget to check out the Better Piano System and supercharge your music skills! https://shop.betterpiano.com/

LMAO did he just get siivagunnered?
That was absolutely the oath to order mashup of bolero of fire.

14:45 I think you found a mashup of Bolero of Fire and Oath to Order from Majora's mask. I don't think these songs were originally together. Bolero of Fire is just that first motif

Chaaaarles! Charles, no!! That's not the extended version of Bolero of Fire, Charles!

My wife only lets me talk about Koji Kondo once a day.

Still hoping for the analysis of Zelda's Lullaby versus the Ballad of the Goddess. I still think that making the Ballad of the Goddess work as just the same song, but backwards is crazy.

The Bolero of Fire you analyzed there is a remix somebody made of Bolero of Fire (from OOT) and Oath to Order (from Majora's Mask)

From the timestamps, I was wondering why Bolero was chosen specifically, but then I saw he got SiIvaGunner'd.

0:37 that is a HOT beat

As others have pointed out, Zelda's Lullaby actually comes from a song in A Link to the Past. That said, I wonder if Kondo chose the 5 notes to intentionally include the 3 notes needed for Zelda's Lullaby? That would make sense to me, at least.

Koji Kondo is a genius.

The fact that charles used the Majora's Mask rip of Bolero of Fire is a SIGN that he's gotta make a whole Majora's Mask video next!!

15:08 this is The Silvagunner version

The last one is a fan mashup, though both songs are from the n64 Zelda games that both have those five notes so your points still stand!

What I love about OOT is that you have access to even more notes by combing up and down inputs with the 5 options given. The game never demands it of you, they just let you do it.

The craziest part is he did all of it again to make the Majora's Mask soundtrack. He wrote 2 entire game's worth of music with this set of notes. Koji Kondo is a genius.

Koji Kondo not only made Zelda's Lullaby out of a three-note motif, but the three C-Buttons, ⬅⬆➡, also form the three triangles of the Triforce.
Now I just hope Charles gets to hear the Skyward Sword ballad... backwards.

What's impressive is that all this music is based on the limited notes of the Ocarina, but "Zelda's Lullaby" was created for "A Link To The Past" that didn't have those limitations, but it still works.

Sheik's Theme is one of my favourites from Ocarina of Time. It's a short piece but it perfectly captures a sense of nostalgia, longing, and sadness...but also hope. Truly beautiful.

6:40 One of the brilliant things about this non-resolution is the fact that this theme occurs in the Lost Woods, in which the player might think they know where they are going but will end up somewhere unexpected
