I bought my copy of Emerald for $10 at a used video game store 20 years ago. Best decision ever lol

I'll never forget that Canadian guy on ebay that sold me an authentic, loose copy of sapphire for $18. I love that man.

This is reminding me of when I bought my old friend’s copy of ruby, sapphire, fire red, and yellow all for 80 bucks. I told him what he could get for it cause he was in money troubles. His response was “I’d rather sell it to someone that I know appreciates them.” Honestly the nicest thing he ever said!

I remember buying that in high school for a little under $40.

That’s crazy. On top of that these games are old. People don’t realize these older systems may stop working at any moment. It’s better to emulate for these old games until they bring them to digital storefronts much more reliable and way cheaper or free.

I'm so fed up with Pokemon games and these prices. Almost makes me want to sell all my pokemon stuff and just say to hell with it. This is beyond insanity. Who in their right mind would spend $400+ for a Pokemon cartridge that you can emulate for free!? Nintendo might even put the game on the switch so you can transfer your Pokemon soon. The Pokebank is being shut down soon so what's gonna happen to these GBA/ds/3ds games afterwards? There's just no point to having them unless you really really want that physical copy and are willing to spend hundreds of hours of your blood, sweat and tears to get them.

I just brought repo copies. They only work on original Nintendo hardware which I have.
But I agree with you, no game is worth $400 when people are struggling to pay rent and mortgages each month.
