As a Beşiktaş fan, it is a pleasure to see you go to the stadium to watch the team I support. Beşiktaş is a massive club. It has supporters and organized ultras fan groups in every single city across Türkiye. Regarding the match you attended, I can say this: Beşiktaş has recently been managed by people making poor decisions. Because of this, fans are turning their backs on the team and the manager on the pitch, protesting during the announcements. Due to economic realities, there can be empty seats in the stands. To get a true idea of what Beşiktaş is really about, I highly recommend watching the extended highlights of the Beşiktaş vs. Osmanlıspor match from Week 33 of the 2015/2016 season.

But there's something else: you came to the worst match in Beşiktaş history, when the fans were upset with the management, and you broke the decibel record. I suggest you watch this fanbase again next year in a European match. Beşiktaş fans are the best in the world, and we're going through tough times right now. 16:12 they were shouting "Management, resign!" The stadium wasn't full for the same reasons like other people mentioned in comments. Beşiktaş's last few seasons were quite troubled.
