Not texting back is the right response.

Everyone is afraid of commitment to a degree. Not everyone traumatizes their partner because of their fear.

Avoid the avoidant

If they reach out to you… the ultimate revenge is to breadcrumb them back. Try to stretch their pain

This recently happened to me. The guy I suspect is avoidant we were seeing each other for 7 months. We parted ways. He reaches out 7 months later. We hang out 3 times and now he’s pulling back again. I should have never agreed to be in each other’s space again because I admit it does hurt but I won’t continue to engage in hurting myself because I know his capacity. Because of the intensity of our relationship and how it ended, I was just getting back to myself and found my joy . I have no issues with my autonomy; however, I hate that I decided to let my guard down due to familiarity and still held a soft spot for him. I wish you all the best.

Wait a few hours and respond, "I'm not texting much anymore. It's not real communication. I'm worth a phone call."

So the partner that discarded you reaches out because they're lonely and realise what they lost. You then have to follow a series of planned, controlled steps to make sure you don't trigger them again.

F*ck that. Unless they literally come back crying, apologising, begging for forgiveness and agreeing to have therapy, they can go and jump off a cliff.
They are soulless energy vampires with zero empathy, and they follow the exact same playbook as a narcissist.

when you have successfully let go of an avoidant, when they reach out again, you will know what to do. you will gain back the power to control the narrative. to me, an ex is an ex. no contact etc. no longer obligated for anything.

when my avoidant ex reached out after 8 months, i just replied via text briefly. wish her the best and resume no contact. 4 months later, she text again. how are you she asked. i replied im ok. then 1/2 a day later she sends a sad emoticon. i asked why, she replied nothing. i replied ok. end of conversation. i dont feel theres a need of anything more for me to say or ask.

i dont have anger, just pity for my ex. but im glad i got my sanity back and also thank her for giving me the opportunity to learn about attachment theory.

Love is such a beautiful experience to waste time with such people. It's exhausting 😪

I think if you have to hold back your love in order to get love back... Just move on and find someone that's worth your love and attention.

Does avoidiants deserve so much ceremonies around them? At the end, they are just usual human beings, and this "enigma" aura is just because they live in fear constantly and try to hide who they are.

Avoidant plus manipulative is a disaster. You can’t win, they will plus talk about love every day,  still do things on their terms and keep denying it’s that way

I was entangled with a Fearful Avoidant once. I was already married when she texted me with a breadcrumb looking for validation, but instead of giving what she hopes for, I told her not to contact me again.

He's left and returned via text/phone so many times.  I know it's not the last I've heard of him, but when he tries I look forward to saying you killed any feelings or care I had for you.

I just broke up with an avoidant and I will never go back. They drain you in multiple ways. They manipulate. They are very selfish. They basically have not grown up and still act like they are 12 years old. Probably haven't healed from whatever trauma they are still carrying around. But I would never wish I didn't get that experience because now I know what I will NOT put up with.

I will not teach a grown man how to love me. They know exactly what they’re doing and why
