🇳🇴 We've made a very difficult decision: we'll probably have to move from the house where practically the entire story of Família Nórdica began.
Our house here in Norway is in an area with radon, a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can escape from rocks and soil and enter buildings. The situation is so concerning that there's a system installed in our basement precisely to reduce the entry of this gas. After everything we've seen happen in our neighborhood over the years, we've started to look at this problem in a completely different way. [Pasted text]
In this video, I show up close the system we have at home, the pipes installed to remove air from the subsoil, and explain why Johanna and I started seriously discussing looking for another place to live.
It's a sad decision because it was here that our son grew up, it was here that the Família Nórdica channel was born, and it was here that we built many of our best memories. [Pasted text]
But the video isn't just about that. You'll also see a few more days of our family routine here in Norway. My sister Sara shows up to help us in the garden, we chat a bit about Brazilian food, life in Norway, and the differences we feel living so far from Brazil.
I also take my son to a soccer school with foreign coaches and show a little of this routine, which is very special to me.
A few years ago, I passed through the same place with him still in his stroller and said that one day he would play soccer. Seeing that happening today has enormous meaning for me.
Along the way, I also show a bit of Nesodden, some typical houses of the region, public transport, the landscapes, and the beginning of the Norwegian autumn.
The trees begin to change color, the days get darker, the cold intensifies, and that completely different landscape begins to appear.
I also confess a little about how I've been feeling working practically alone on the production of the videos.
Recording, editing, podcast, channel… there comes a time when the body and mind start to ask for rest.
Even so, I continue doing something I truly love.
On a walk through the forest, I also share a very personal experience about my faith in God and recall one of the most powerful moments I've ever lived with my son.
And to top it off, there are also drone images I took with the DJI Mavic 4 Pro, showing from above the region where we live, the fjord, and the landscapes of this beautiful part of Norway.
