Judge Reprimands Lindsay Clancy Psychiatrist in Court

Cross-examination of Dr. Jennifer Tufts, the psychiatrist who treated Lindsay Clancy from September 2022 to January 2023, got tense when she repeatedly answered questions before Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, finished asking them. The judge interrupted and instructed Dr. Tufts to wait until each question was complete before responding. Clancy is charged with murdering her three young children in January 2023. Her defense argues she was suffering from severe postpartum mental illness, while prosecutors contend she was criminally responsible for her actions.

I’m a counselor and I’m so anxious watching this. I love Reddington but MAN, this makes me really rethink how I do my documentation. I’m so glad I’m watching this case because I think it will make me a better provider and more conscientious in my documentation.

The title of this video is misleading…the judge did not reprimand the psychiatrist. He merely reminded her, AS WELL AS THE DEFENSE ATTORNEY, to let one finish speaking before they speak. No need to dramatize this trial anymore than it already is.

This case absolutely illustrates the failings if our health care system. It's unacceptable to a level of disgrace. It's shocking, and the American public has lost trust in the medical system and pharmaceutical companies.
