Lindsay Clancy’s mom, Paula Musgrove, took the stand in her daughter’s case as a defense witness to discuss how she was feeling and acting before the death of her three kids, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. She stated that Lindsay had not been acting like herself, and she came to help care for the kids up until their deaths. Lindsay is currently on trial for their deaths and is accused of three counts of first-degree murder. Her defense claims she was suffering from severe postpartum depression and psychosis and was unable to understand her actions.

What is the point of asking the poor woman the same questions over, and over again, and getting the same response. If I was a juror, that would really piss me off.

I’m confused by, “I remember Pat asking her if she felt like she couldn’t be alone with the kids, and she said no”. What does “no” mean in this context? “No, I can’t be alone with the kids”, or “no, it’s fine, I can be alone with the kids”?

Nothing and I mean nothing can ever excuse what this woman has done to her children but if my daughter ever looked at me and said “I’m having thoughts of harming my kids” I would never leave my grandkids alone with her and I would make sure to tell medical professionals what had been said and sought help right away. This case blows my mind. It’s not normal for a woman to say that about her children.

Dang. Yall are harsh. Blaming the mother, the husband, everyone under the sun. But not Lindsay. I have a mother with issues like Lindsay. Most of you have no comprehension of what its like. Without a court order. You cannot force care on anyone. You cannot even make them see a dr.

The procession is so brutal to people who have lost the children. The fact that they need to jury to hear what happened is one thing but show a little empathy to this poor grand mother.

If my daughter told me she was thinking of harming her kids…I would NEVER forget that day! The prosecutor is amazing! My guess is her parents knew she had bipolar and likely took meds before and they never told Patrick or anyone!

I totally agree with the Gma remembering certain text messages! My daughter and I text muliple times per day so picking out a certain day, time and actual text from memory would be very difficult!

All I can say is that when a person is having problems with a family with mental health it's just plane hard. We as people have really no idea with what hell is going on. I have know and know family members with issues it is an experience I wouldn't wish on any one
