I love how both of these actors have impressively long monologues in this movie and at the end of either of their biggest monologues the other one is always like “lol okay”
The fact that neither Pattinson nor Dafoe were nominated for Oscars for their performances in this movie is absolutely insane. This scene alone pretty much shows that Pattinson has put Twilight FAAAAAAAAAAAAAR behind him.
I love when he says "you have a way with words Tommy" bc Dafoes insults are all beautifully written, descriptive poems while on the other hands Winslows just like "ur mom gay"
The moment when you realize that Pattinson's changing, shifting accent isn't poor acting, but a very clever choice by the actor. You can tell he (the character, Winslow) is trying to disguise his original accent (the more new yorker sounding one) with the more Welsh sounding one he has for most of the film. Whenever he gets angry with dafoe you can tell his fake accent slips. He's trying to disguise his true identity.
There isn't a HINT of Robert left in the character he's playing. Just absolutely outstanding. After watching this film I'm cleared of all my doubts about him playing Batman or pretty much any role, for that matter.
