Can we just appreciate how the boyfriend at the start isn't all like "You didn't see anything", "you don't know what you're talking about" etc. like they usually are in these kinds of games/movies and even when she was saying things that seems ridiculous he listened to her and believed her.

It’s nice to see a healthy relationship in a horror game for once. Max and Laura seem good together

“Is this like an American thing?” Yep. I went to a similar style camp for four years. There were cabins and a lake. We didn’t have a main house. We had a open air meeting place with a roof and stage.

Faces in these supermassive games are pretty good in expressions and all, but they still fall into the uncanny valley where you always feel something is off. I guess it fits with the unsettling feeling throughout the game.

"I want to regret my choices"
That's what makes these games so fun. I prefer to save the rewind for when I'm trying to get a specific ending later on.

First Ashley Tisdale, now Brenda Song?
Can’t wait for Vanessa and Zack to be the next lovers in the following game.

The wrench thing is for real. You can use a pair of wrenches to break a padlock.
It's tricky to learn, but works well when you do.

I love how Evelien straight up figured out what the cop was doing with the cellar situation

glad i’m not the only one who got cute gay vibes from emma and abigail at the beginning. emma would be the straight girl i would crush on at camp that would flirt back with me constantly but then if questioned she’d say that’s just “how girls talk” lmao.

Being completely fair, Max has all the right to be mad at laura at the beginning, she said she talked to them and that everything was arranged, and she asked "calling leaving a message, what's the difference?" Well, for once, even if you called the place and there were no confirmation, that's worth fu¢k all, it's like going to a hotel and being
"Well, I didn't really make a reservation, but I messaged you guys on facebook"
"Did you get a response?"
"Well... No, but I left a message so I thought everything was dealt with"

Am I the only one who thinks of the Kelly Clarkson song every time the sentence shows 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' the song keeps playing in my head

Dylan seems to REALLY want Ryan to come party with them, loving the chemistry between these characters

I was literally waiting for Gab' playthrough as soon as they announced it!!!! LETS GOOOOO

I really hope it's supernatural for real this timeeeee, excited for all the upcoming playthroughs too

So imagine you're lost, temporarily stranded in the woods, and your girlfriend comes running, obviously terrified. What do you do? Get the hell out of there? No. obviously you take a moment to hug your girlfriend and ask her all sorts of questions like she didn't just run away from something that might still be chasing her????

The Quarry has actually the most amount of known or well-known actors from any Supermassive Game. Like 7 of the 9 playable Characters are quite known but the supporting Cast is filled with amazing actors. Really stocked for this.

"What doesn't kill you, will make you wish it had." Comes to mind

So with newspapers and clues you have to pick it back up after they put it down in order to read what’s on it and for some reason you aren’t able to read it in the menu. Definitely prefer the pick up mechanic of the other games.

For some context, in the US calling someone ma'am can sometimes be an age thing depending on where you are. In the south it's considered a normal sign of respect and isn't significantly age dependent, but in the north it's often tied to being an older woman and can be insulting to some people if they don't consider themselves old enough to be referred to that way.

What doesn’t kill you can indeed traumatically effect you. Like Sean had talked about in his Quarry playthrough so far like losing a limb, or getting your nose cut off as examples. It may not kill you, but it can still traumatically break you.

The Quarry feels like an enthralling experience with greater depth than games like Medan, Ashes, and Hope which feel like a portion of a greater experience.

Until Dawn is still pretty great all these years later, but I gotta admit The Quarry is a worthy successor that has impressed me so far.

So far the QTE's seem way better too. No more random buttons popping up without warning. Much more accessible.
