I came to rewatch this after hearing about Hayden Panettiere’s passing… she will be so missed :(

Tbh as someone who was deliberately flirted with and asked out by my crush (who knew I had a crush on him), only for him to turn around and say "Just kidding", I agree with Sam at the beginning and I don't blame Hannah for running off.

Ah back to the classic after watching Gab's first full playthrough of The Quarry

He wasn't really mad about Emily hugging Mike. It was that she lied about needing to talk to Sam and making him carry all the bags so that she could sneak down and talk to Mike. Because she could've talked to Mike and hugged him when they were all together or even just asked if she could talk to him in private for a second. But instead she decided to be fishy and sneak off to do it

Sam's tone is more sarcastic not snooty. Remember they actually gave her the best personality on purpose. She's meant to be nice and considerate.

agree with you about the atmosphere, Until Dawn established itself right away, Man of Medan was kind of a slog until you reached the ship.

Anyone else watching this because they just finished Gab's playthrough of The Quarry and YouTube immediately recommended this? Excellent selection recommendation YouTube ❤️

Evelien has really come into her own and built her own personal brand! It’s funny she said “I’m banking on people not watching my older content”, because I just watched her last play through of this, and it lacked the same energy and quick wit. I used to think of her as someone who just brought out the best in Sean, but now I follow her to discover horror games I’ve never heard of and laugh more since she’s grown in confidence!

I actually went to school with Jordan Fisher. We were our 3rd grade class together. It was weird to see him after all these years in one of my favorite games. I was like “how do I know him” and looked up who played him like you did. And as soon as I saw his name I was like “oh yeah, I sat next to him in school” haha. So weird.

Unpopular opinion but I absolutely love this game, even though it has many flaws. I love the design of the Wendigo and the hidden message of mental illness, and not recieving proper help for it being the real "monster".

Joshua only received SSRI medication for depression - As we see in his medical chart, even though he was clearly showing symptoms of psychosis and schizophrenia. Taking certain brands of SSRI's when you are having psychotic episodes can have a high risk of worsening psychosis and other symptoms... Especially when not receiving proper anti-psychotic medication for his illness. He was let down, and misdiagnosed by his doctor even though he desperately wanted and sought help. Which is so sad. Everything happening altogether, and in the end (either way) he meets a horrifying fate, all because of Dr. Hill's negligence and lack of proper care - to no fault of Josh.

"Oh I did so well! She's in her underwear!" - Gab 2020 lmao

Evelien playing until dawn in 2020: "My favorite character is probably Jessica"
Evelien playing until dawn in 2015: Sees Jessica for the first time "The girl in the skirt can die"

My favorite character is Mike. It took me a REALLY long time to decide because everyone has their shitty qualities but... Mike is obviously the best. Even though he seems shitty at the beginning, he puts himself in danger a lot just to help the others. And whe Josh is losing his mind in the mines and Mike tells him to come with him, he says the best line "alright, let's go you fucked up son of a bitch".

I’m surprised you called Sam goody two shoes for that, that prank was a horrible thing to do, not to mention it resulted in 2 deaths. Regardless, I’m enjoying the playthrough.

Gab: Sam is condescending, snooty and such a goody-too-shoes
Meanwhile her favourite character: "tHiS iS nOT tHe cOzY cHaLEt i wAs pRoMiSeD, MiKe"

I replayed this recently and it's funny how you can play some games over and over again without them getting dull. Although, with every playthrough I feel less scared and now I just mimic the lines and kill every character for fun.

Matts personality is just being nice. Ems personality is gaslighting Matt and being a sociopath

It's just a hug, but also she lied and said she was going back to talk to Sam, when her real intention was to see Mike alone. So it comes off as untrustworthy and hurtful. If you're someone who hugs people, then you don't be afraid of your significant other seeing you do it. <3 🤗
(In a real life situation, that may or may not be the true reason someone goes back, but I'm going with what you presume the story is while watching!)

After Until Dawn, games like Hidden Agenda and Man of Medan were huge disappointments. I really hope that Little Hope is a return to form.

the thing with emily hugging mike, the reason matt's mad isn't the hug.  Emily lied, She said she was meeting up with Sam, but then she's caught with her ex, hugging him.  The fact that she was so secretive about it is what makes it suspicious to Matt.  And I mean, if she had said she was meeting Mike, he would have been uncomfortable about it, for sure, since he's so insecure with her. It was really a no-win situation on Emily's side.
